摘要: An object is to provide a torque tool device which can expedite tightening operations using a torque tool without requiring any other manipulation than the tightening. The device is also capable of performing tightening operations consecutively by determining instantly whether the tightening has been adequately performed. The torque tool device includes a torque tool 1 and an information processing terminal 20. The tool 1 is capable of measuring the torque value at which a bolt or the like was tightened and then transmitting the measured torque value via wireless communication means. The terminal 20 has information processing means for receiving the measured torque value and determining whether the torque value is acceptable. This arrangement eliminates the need of including a pass/fail test device in the torque tool 1, thereby allowing it to be reduced in weight. Additionally, the wireless communication using the ISM frequency band can allow the determination result to be instantly sent and received, thereby making it possible to expedite the tightening consecutively with the torque tool 1.

摘要: To reduce the period of time required after a remote printer is instructed to start a print job and before it starts printing and hence reduce the period of time for which the remote printer is occupied, thereby enhancing working efficiency, it is determined whether originals are located on an original table or on a sheet feeder, and if the originals are located on the original table, it is determined whether the job is in an original table accumulation mode in which a local apparatus completes reading images from a plurality of originals before transmitting the images. If the job is not in the original table accumulation mode, the remote apparatus is instructed to start the job before images are read from the originals. On the other hand, if the job is in the original table accumulation mode, the remote apparatus is instructed to start the job after the images have been read from all the originals.

摘要: Print information that has been generated by a first device is submitted to a second device and a print job is started (S101). Whether a failure has occurred on the side of the first device during the submission of the print information is detected (S102). In accordance with the detection made, it is determined to abort, suspend or resume processing of the print job that is currently being submitted. In accordance with the determination made, abort, suspension or resumption of processing is reported to the second device, which receives the print information, as notification of control of the print job (S105, S107, S109). This printing control method is such that if processing of print information is suspended owing to occurrence of a failure, the source (the first device) that submits the print information reports suspension to a remote device (the second device) that is the destination of the print information. It is possible to exercise control so as to resume print processing in response to elimination of any failure.

摘要: In an apparatus capable of handing data received by a communication function, such as facsimile function or the like, information for generating a file name to be set for received data is registered so as to correspond to receiving conditions (for example, in facsimile reception, a sender's telephone number, an F code, a password and the like). When data has been received, receiving conditions are determined, and a file name based on the information registered for the data is set in accordance with the result of the determination. Thus, the receiving side can easily discriminate the contents of the data.

摘要: Disclosed is an image processing apparatus in which when a scanning job for which a fee is charged is executed, utilization of scanned data by a user who has not paid the fee can be prevented and it is possible to avoid a situation in which a user who has paid the fee cannot utilize the scanned data. The apparatus scans in a document by a scanner to thereby generate data, encodes the data using a password and stores the encoded data in an external storage device. Next, the apparatus executes fee-charging processing to charge the price for the chargeable scanning job. After the charging processing is executed, the apparatus prints out a password used when the stored encrypted data is to be decoded.
