摘要: Instances of a single brain computer interface (BCI) system can be implemented on multiple devices. An active instance can control the associated device. The instances can each communicate with a neural decoding system that can receive neural signals from a user, process the neural signals, and output a command based on the processed neural signals. A device running the active instance of can be in communication with the neural decoding system to receive a command. The device can include a display, a non-transitory memory storing instructions, and a processor to execute the instructions to: run an instance of a control program; and execute the task based on the command.

摘要: The present application provides methods of functionalizing an organ or tissue of a mammal by administering a nutrient (e.g., peracetylated N-azido galactosamine Ac4GalNAz) to the mammal or by culturing an organ or tissue in a bioreactor containing such nutrient. The present application also provides methods of selectively functionalizing extracellular matrix (ECM) of an organ or tissue of a mammal by administering a nutrient (e.g., peracetylated N-azido galactosamine Ac4GalNAz) to the mammal. In some aspects, the present application provides a decellularized scaffold of a mammalian organ or tissue comprising an extracellular matrix, wherein the extracellular matrix of the decellularized scaffold is functionalized with a chemical group that is reactive in a bioorthogonal chemical reaction, such as an azide chemical group. The present application also provides biological prosthetic mesh and mammalian organs and tissues for transplantation prepared according to the methods of the application.

摘要: Systems and Methods that identify the effect of motion during a medical imaging procedure. A neural network is trained to translate motion induced deviations of a coil-mixing matrix relative to a reference acquisition into a motion score. This score can be used for the prospective detection of the most corrupted echo trains for removal or triggering a replacement by reacquisition.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods that can apply low level light (LLL) to facilitate platelet biogenesis or extend platelet lifespan. While not wishing to be bound by theory, it is believed that LLL can enhance the ATP synthesis by the mitochondria within platelets and/or platelet precursor cells, which, thereby, helps to enhance platelet biogenesis and extend the platelet lifespan. In some instances, LLL can facilitate in vitro and/or in vivo platelet biogenesis. In other instances, LLL can extend platelet lifespan in circulation. In still other instances, LLL can be employed to prolong the shelf-life of stored platelets.

One aspect provides methods and compositions to alter microbiota in a subject by administering to the subject a composition that includes a substantially purified microbiota from phyla such as Bacteroidetes, Proteobacteria, Firmicutes and Verrucomicrobia or orders such as Bacteroidales, Verrucomicrobiales, Clostridiales and Enterobacteriales or genera such as Alistipes, Clostridium, Escherichia, and Akkermansia. Another aspect includes a pharmaceutical composition for altering microbiota that includes a therapeutically effective amount of substantially purified microbiota and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Yet another aspect includes methods for treating a disorder, such as obesity, in a subject in need of such treatment by changing relative abundance of microbiota in a gastrointestinal tract of the subject without or in addition to a surgical procedure.
