摘要: Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure provide method and apparatus for facilitating stretching of a biological tissue by forming a plurality of micro-slits in the tissue. Each micro-slit can be less than about 2 mm or less than about 1.5 mm long, or even less than about 1 mm, such that small gaps that can heal quickly can be formed when the tissue is stretched. The micro-slits can be formed using a plurality of cutting arrangements or an ablative laser. The micro-slits can be formed in various patterns, including staggered rows, circular or spiral patterns, or random patterns.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for performing a hair transplant using a hair transplant device. The hair transplant device comprises an extraction unit including a coring needle configured to extract at least one hair follicle from a donor site, an implanting unit removably coupled to the extraction unit, the implanting unit including a splitting needle configured to create an opening in a recipient site, a housing coupled to the extraction unit, and a user interface extending from the housing and moveable relative to the housing. The user interface includes a pin movable within the coring needle relative to the housing.

摘要: Cosmetic method and apparatus are provided that can provide cooling and/or freezing of skin tissue proximal to the skin surface to generate an appearance of lightening or reduced pigmentation in the skin. The skin can be cooled to a temperature of less than about −5 degrees Celsius for a duration of about one minute or less, using a cooled surface that is at least 3 cm in width. A cooling arrangement can be provided to provide controlled heat removal from the skin tissue being treated. A sensor can optionally be provided to detect freezing of tissue proximal to the cooled surface.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods that facilitate delivery of a therapeutic agent into the skin of a subject. A first mechanism can create a first angled channel through a first location on a surface of a subject's skin at a first angle relative to the surface of the subject's skin. A second mechanism, associated with the first mechanism, can create a second angled channel through a second location on the surface of the subject's skin at a second angle relative to the surface of the subject's skin. The first angled channel and the second angled channel intersect to form a connected channel under the surface of the subject's skin.

摘要: An exemplary treatment system can be provided which can include a laser system configured to emit at least one laser beam, and an optical system configured to focus the laser beam(s) to a focal region at a selected distance from a surface of a tissue. The focal region can be configured to illuminate at least a portion of a target. The optical system can cause an irradiation energy transferred to the focal region of the laser beam(s) to (i) generate a plasma in a first region of the tissue adjacent to the target, and (ii) avoid a generation of a plasma in a second region of the tissue. The optical system has a numerical aperture that is in the range of about 0.5 to about 0.9. An exemplary method can also be provided to control such treatment system.
