    摘要: A Bi12XO20 powder, wherein X represents at least one kind of element selected from the group consisting of Si, Ge, and Ti, is produced by a process comprising: a step (A) of preparing a solution containing the Bi element and a solution containing the X element, a step (B) of feeding the solution containing the Bi element and the solution containing the X element into a mixing section, and preparing a mixed liquid in the mixing section, a step (C) of discharging the mixed liquid from the mixing section, and a step (D) of feeding the mixed liquid, which has been discharged from the mixing section, into a reaction section located at the exterior of the mixing section, and allowing the mixed liquid to undergo reaction in the reaction section. The steps (B) and (C) are performed in parallel.

    摘要: An electroluminescent cell of dispersion type-like construction includes a pair of electrodes and an electroluminescent layer arranged between the electrodes. A plurality of electroluminescent particles, including a dielectric core and a phosphor-covering layer formed on the outside of said dielectric core, are dispersed in a dielectric binder of the electroluminescent layer. When a voltage is applied across the electroluminescent cell, an average electric-field intensity applied to the phosphor-covering layers of the electroluminescent particles is 1.5 or more times an average electric-field intensity applied to the entire electroluminescent layer.

    摘要: An AC-driven electroluminescent element includes a pair of electrodes and a light emission layer being located between the pair of electrodes and containing particles and a filler with which gaps between the particles are filled. The particles are densely arranged in the light emission layer in such a manner that the particles are fused with each other or in mechanical or electrical contact with each other, and the ratio of the volume occupied by the particles to the volume occupied by the filler in the light emission layer is 1.0 or greater. Each particle has a portion made of a fluorescent material. When the outermost surfaces of all of the particles are not made of a dielectric material, at least one insulation layer is arranged on at least one side of the light emission layer.
