摘要: A method for recovering substantially all carbon dioxide generated in a combustion process where the method comprises the following steps: a) a sweep gas is used to pick up oxygen on the permeate side of a mixed conducting membrane in a first stage which is capable of separating oxygen from a hot air stream fed to the retentate side of the membrane; b) the sweep gas containing oxygen is applied as oxidant in a combuster in the first stage where a carbon containing fuel is combusted; c) hot combustion products of step b) containing CO2, H2O and a low concentration of O2 is used as sweep gas in a membrane in a second stage downstream the combuster in step b); d) the concentration of oxygen in the sweep gas of step c) is increased in the membrane in the second stage (step c) to a sufficiently high level to be used as oxidant in the combuster in the second stage; e) and the steps c)-d) are repeated in one or more stages. Furthermore, the present invention relates to use of the method in different processes.

摘要: A gas-liquid separator includes a housing which encloses a separation chamber, an inlet port for feeding the multi-phase flow into the separation chamber, a liquid outlet port for discharging the liquid dominated flow from the separation chamber and a gas outlet port provided at a position above both the inlet port and the liquid outlet port for discharging the gas dominated flow from the separation chamber. Both the inlet port and the liquid outlet port are positioned adjacent to an elongated lower bottom wall of the housing and define a flow direction into the and out of the separation chamber approximately aligned along the bottom wall. The separation chamber extends above the bottom wall in between the inlet port and the liquid outlet port. The liquid outlet port is provided with a gas seal to prevent entrainment of free gas from the separation chamber into the liquid outlet port.

摘要: A method with associated equipment for feeding two gases into and out of a multi-channel monolithic structure. The two gases will normally be gases with different chemical and/or physical properties. The first gas and the second gas are fed by means of a manifold head into channels for the first and second gases, respectively. The gases are distributed in the monolith in such a way that at least one of the channel walls is a shared or joint wall for both gases. The walls that are joint walls for the two gases will then constitute a contact area between the two gases that is available for mass and/or heat exchange. This means that the gases must be fed into channels that are spread over the entire cross-sectional area of the monolith. The entire contact area or all of the monolith's channel walls are directly used for heat and/or mass transfer between the gases. This means that the channel for one gas will always have the other gas on the other side of its channel walls.
