摘要: A platform for patient engagement and treatment compliance is disclosed. In an example, a system includes a home therapy machine configured to perform a renal failure therapy treatment. The system also includes a mobile communication device including an application that enables a patient to select a program type for a future renal failure therapy treatment. The application is configured to determine a short program and a long program are available for the future renal failure therapy treatment and cause a user interface to provide an option to select one of the short program or the long program. The application is also configured to receive a selection of the short program or the long program via the user interface and transmit a message to the home therapy machine, the message indicative of the selection of the short program or the long program for the future renal failure therapy treatment.

摘要: A peritoneal dialysis apparatus includes a filter and a dialysis fluid circuit in fluid communication with the filter. The peritoneal dialysis apparatus also includes a pump for pumping fresh dialysis fluid to a peritoneum of a patient via the dialysis fluid circuit and pumping used dialysis fluid from the peritoneum of the patient through the dialysis fluid circuit and the filter. The peritoneal dialysis apparatus further includes a selective air access in fluid communication with the dialysis fluid circuit and a control unit configured to control the pump during a peritoneal dialysis treatment and a filter cleaning sequence. The control unit forms a fluid mixture during a filter cleaning sequence by opening the selective air access to mix air with a physiologically safe fluid. The fluid mixture is transferred across insides and/or outsides of the filter at least one time.

摘要: A patient connector for dialysis is disclosed. In an example, a patient connector includes a housing including an inlet and an outlet and defining at least one aperture. The patient connector also includes a seal initially blocking the outlet and a hydrophobic filter covering the at least one aperture of the housing. The patient connector further includes a check valve positioned and arranged to prevent air from being vented from the housing via the at least one aperture and through the hydrophobic filter when the housing is under atmospheric pressure or negative pressure. The check valve is configured to allow air to be vented from the housing via the at least one aperture and through the hydrophobic filter when the housing is under positive pressure.

摘要: A medical fluid delivery system and device for remote machine updating and control are disclosed. An example medical fluid delivery device includes a processor and a dialysis fluid circuit including at least one dialysis fluid pump. The processor determines a self-test needs to be performed and transmits, to a server via a network, a message indicating (i) that the self-test is ready to be performed or (ii) a time to perform the self-test. The processor receives, from the server via the network, a command message to perform the self-test. The processor then causes the at least one dialysis fluid pump to perform the self-test.
