Abstract:
A feeding lubricant for use on a welding electrode comprises about 10 to 40 wt. % of at least one soap-based lubricant, about 40 to 90 wt. % of at least one solid particulate lubricant selected from MoS2, WS2, ZnO, graphite and PTFE and up to 20 wt. % of at least one optional additional particulate lubricant ingredient.
Abstract:
A method and system to weld or join workpieces employing a high intensity energy source to create a weld puddle and at least one resistive filler wire which is heated to at or near its melting temperature and deposited into the weld puddle.

Abstract:
A welding contact tip having a body portion and bore passing through the body portion. The welding contact tip is made from an alloy which comprises diamonds and/or diamond powder.
Abstract:
A metal core electrode used to form weld deposits having improved slag forming properties with respect to reduced accumulation of slag in toes of the weld bead. The metal cored electrode includes a metal rod and a fill composition. The electrode includes a slag-modifying additive that contains metallic indium and/or one or more indium compounds.
Abstract:
A manufacturing process is disclosed for manufacturing and packaging cored welding electrode. The process comprises providing core fill material, providing a strip of sheath material, bending the strip into a U or V shape, adding the fill material into a channel of the bent strip, joining the outer edges of the strip to provide a cored electrode with the fill material enclosed within the sheath material, providing a generally rectangular container, and installing the cored electrode into the container.
