Abstract:
The antiskid device includes a fixing disk, which can be mounted on the wheel rim of a motor vehicle and can remain thereon during the winter months, and a supporting disk mountable on the fixing disk and lockable therewith by means of a retaining ring on putting the antiskid device into operation. The supporting disk is provided with a plurality of radially arranged support arms, which engage over the tire tread and which carry a chain grid as the snow chain which, in the operating state, engages over the tire tread, so as to provide an antiskid device which can be effortlessly mounted on a wheel and provide a snow chain-like action.
Abstract:
An anti-skid device is intended for use on pneumatic tires when the tires are used on ice and snow. The device includes a supporting disk with anti-skid arms pivotally displaceable about axes extending parallel to the axis of the wheel on which the pneumatic tire is mounted. The supporting disk is fixed to the wheel by a fixing disk and a retaining ring mounted on the wheel rim. The combination of the fixing disk and the retaining ring secure the supporting disk on a hub formed on the fixing disk. The supporting disk is arranged so that there is a certain amount of clearance relative to the hub for performing eccentric rotary movement for adapting the device to any elastic deformation of the pneumatic tire.
Abstract:
An anti-skid device for vehicle tires is provided which includes a chain cover formed by two spaced apart chain lengths (9) formed of links (11), that are connected by connector links (15). Guide chain bodies (23) engage the connector links (15), which connect the chain cover to retainer loops (29) arranged in a star-shaped pattern on the vehicle wheel. The connection between the retainer loops (29) and the chain cover is achieved by a single guide chain body (23) and results in a uniform usage of all elements over the entire circumference. The chain cover can be turned over by undoing the guide chain bodies (23).

Abstract:
The invention relates to an antiskid device for vehicle wheels, having a retaining device which is coaxially attached on one side of the wheel rim or the wheel disc and which via arms disposed transversely of the running direction and engaging over the wheel running surface retaining an antiskid means bearing against the wheel running surface, the antiskid means being retained on both the side remote from the retaining device and also on the side adjacent thereto in an opening of the arm and being laterally movable in the zone of the tire base, while on the side remote from the retaining device the opening of the arm is a longitudinal opening which is disposed transversely of the running direction and in which the antiskid means attaching end located in the longitudinal opening is located transversely displaceably in relation to the running direction.
Abstract:
For adapting a nonskid device for pneumatic-tired wheels of vehicles on ice and snow surfaces which is held at one end on the wheel of the vehicle and which shows a number of arm-type gripping element supports (50) placed on a supporting element (10), partially overlapping the tire tread, with gripping elements (50a) provided for at their free ends, which show on the outside spikes (51) or chain sections connecting respectively two gripping element supports with each other or chain strings of chain nets bearing on the tire tread (111) in the tire circonferential direction, to different tire sizes, the distance of the fixing point (55) of each gripping element support (50) with its gripping element (50a) on the surface (11) of the plate-shaped or ring-shaped supporting element (10) or of the supporting element showing another conformation or on the ring surface of the ring-shaped supporting element (10) to the tire tread on the supporting element (10) is variable, whereby the fixing point (55) for each gripping element support (50) can be fixed to the tire size after the adjustment has taken place (FIG. 5).
Abstract:
An antiskid device for vehicle wheels, having a retaining device which is coaxially attached on one side of the wheel rim or the wheel disc and which via arms disposed transversely of the running direction and engaging over the wheel running surface retains an antiskid chain bearing against the wheel running surface, the arms being pivotably attached to the retaining device via joints whose pivots are at right angles to the wheel axle and to the wheel radius extending through the joint, while via the joint the arms can also be pivoted around an axis parallel to the wheel axle, the arm ends attached in the joint being located in a recess in the retaining device which opens in the direction of the wheel side and has inclined lateral surfaces which return the arm end from an inclined position to a radial position.
Abstract:
A chain link for the antiskid device of a vehicle wheel, having a first end forming a closed eyelet for attachment to an adjacent chain link, and a second end forming a hook for attachment in an opening of a web or plate or arm of the antiskid device, the eyelet and hook having the equal inside width corresponding to the thickness of the web in the zone of the place of attachment, plus a slight extra dimension for adequate mobility upon the attachment.
Abstract:
Device configured for modifying the length of snow chains or guard chains. For this purpose, two recesses are disposed on a shaped disk and are interlinked by a sliding slot. The distance of the adjacent chain links is modified by slipping the chain links through the sliding slot into a different recess.
