    摘要: Ether-capped poly(oxyalkylated) alcohol surfactants having superior grease cleaning abilities and improved spotting/filming benefits are provided. The alcohol surfactants have the formula: RO(R1O)xR2 wherein, R is selected from the group consisting of linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated, substituted or unsubstituted, aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon radicals having from about 1 to about 30 carbon atoms; R1 may be the same or different, and is independently selected from the group consisting of branched or linear C2 to C7 alkylene in any given molecule; R2 is selected from the group consisting of: (i) a 4 to 8 membered substituted, or unsubstituted heterocyclic ring containing from 1 to 3 hetero atoms; (ii) a 7 to 13 membered substituted, or unsubstituted polycyclic ring; (iii) a hydrocarbon of the formula: —(CH2)y—X  wherein, y is an integer from 1 to 7, X is a 4 to 8 membered substituted, or unsubstituted, saturated or unsaturated cyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon radical; and (iv) a hydrocarbon radical of the formula: —C(CH3)2R3  wherein R3 is selected from the group consisting of linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated, substituted or unsubstituted, aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon radicals having from about 1 to about 30 carbon atoms, provided that when R3 is methyl, R is branched; wherein x is a number from 1 to about 30.

    摘要: Rinse aid materials for coating, coating compositions, methods and articles of manufacture for use in automatic dishwashing appliances comprising a nanoparticle system or employing the same to impart surface modifying benefits for all types of dishware surfaces are disclosed. In some embodiments, dispersement of nanoparticles in a suitable carrier medium allows for the creation of rinse aid surface coating compositions, methods and articles of manufacture that create multi-use benefits to modified dishware surfaces. These surface modifications can produce long lasting or semi-permanent multi-use benefits that include at least one of the following improved surface properties: wetting and sheeting, uniform drying, anti-spotting, anti-staining, anti-filming, self cleaning, and durability benefits, relative to dishware surfaces unmodified with such nanoparticle systems. In some embodiments, actively curing the rinse aid surface coating composition on the dishware surfaces, including, but not limited to by radiative heating the air surrounding the dishware surface with the coating thereon can be used to increase the durability of the dishware surface coating.
