    摘要: Cymbal mounting systems, devices, components, accessories and related methods are provided. The mounting systems mount a cymbal on a mounting post. The systems include a cymbal mount comprising a sleeve portion elongated along a length configured to extend through a mounting aperture of the cymbal, and comprising a top portion, a bottom portion, and an inner cavity extending from the bottom end along at least a portion of the length configured to mount on the mounting post of the cymbal stand. An outer surface of the sleeve portion varies in maximum cross-sectional size along the length thereof. The systems also include at least one resilient support ring comprising an inner through hole of a cross-sectional size that is smaller than at least a portion of that of the outer surface of the sleeve portion such that the support ring applies a compressive force thereto when mounted thereon.

    摘要: Cymbal mounting apparatuses, systems and methods are provided. In one embodiment, a cymbal mounting apparatus for mounting a cymbal to a mounting post of a cymbal stand is provided. The apparatus comprises a cymbal mount that comprises an elongated flexible sleeve portion defining an inner cavity with a second diameter that is less than a first diameter of the mounting post such that the sleeve portion applies a compressive force thereto when installed thereon. The cymbal mount further comprises a cymbal support rim portion extend outwardly from the sleeve portion. The sleeve portion and the rim portion may be integral. The mounting post may define a first length extending between a shoulder portion and a free end thereof, and the sleeve portion may define a second length that is at least one half the first length such that the sleeve portions extends past the free end when installed thereon.

    摘要: A variable-geometry backscatter inspection system has a radiation detector array including one or more backscatter radiation detectors. The position of a second backscatter radiation detector is variable with respect to the position of a first backscatter radiation detector, so that the size of the detector array may be varied by moving the second radiation detector into or out of a predefined alignment with the first radiation detector. The system may include a movable base, and at least one of the detectors is movable with respect to the base. Methods of inspecting an object include forming a detector array by moving a second radiation detector into a predefined alignment with a first radiation detector, illuminating the object with a pencil beam of penetrating radiation, and detecting backscattered radiation with the detector array.

    摘要: Method and a system for capturing mercury in a flue gas are provided. The method includes partially oxidizing a carbonaceous solid fuel in a gasifier such that a thermally activated carbon-containing solid sorbent and gaseous gasification products are generated wherein the gasifier is proximate to a combustion system for combusting a mercury containing fuel. The method further includes storing the generated thermally activated carbon-containing solid sorbent proximate to the combustion system and combusting a mercury containing fuel in a combustion zone of the combustion system wherein mercury released during combustion is entrained in flue gas generated by the combustion. The method also includes injecting the thermally activated solid sorbent in the flue gas downstream of the combustion zone and absorbing at least a portion of the entrained mercury on the thermally activated solid sorbent.
