Abstract:
It relates to a joggle structure and a furniture with the same. The joggle structure has a groove and a tongue cooperating with the groove. The groove has a bottom surface and two groove side faces. Width of the groove gradually increases from groove opening to the bottom surface. The two groove side faces are a part of a rotational curved surface around a rotation axis arranged in the middle of the two groove side faces. The tongue has two tongue side faces for matching with the two groove side faces, and the two tongue side faces have the same shape as the groove side faces. In the process of engaging, the tongue is rotated with respect to the groove and joggled into the groove to make the two tongue side faces attach to the two groove side faces.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a lighting and diffuser apparatus for a flashlight. In one aspect, the lighting and diffuser apparatus includes a reflector. The reflector may include an interior surface having a truncated parabolodial shape, as well as an exterior surface which includes a first segment that defines a lateral surface of a frustum of a right circular cone. The lighting and diffuser apparatus further may include a primary light source inside the reflector, and a secondary light source outside the reflector. The secondary light source may include an array of light sources facing the first segment. The array of light sources may be distributed in a ring. The lighting and diffuser apparatus also may include a cylindrical member of light transmitting material near the reflector.
Abstract:
A method including: receiving multiple local requests to access the cache line; inserting, into an address chain, multiple entries corresponding to the multiple local requests; identifying a first entry at a head of the address chain; initiating, in response to identifying the first entry and in response to the first entry corresponding to a request to own the cache line, a traversal of the address chain; setting, during the traversal of the address chain, a state element identified in a second entry; receiving a foreign request to access the cache line; inserting, in response to setting the state element, a third entry corresponding to the foreign request into the address chain after the second entry; and relinquishing, in response to inserting the third entry after the second entry in the address chain, the cache line to a foreign thread after executing the multiple local requests.
Abstract:
A pair of chopsticks comprising a first chopstick having a long narrow body, at least one tine on a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a connection means disposed on the first chopstick body; a second chopstick having a long narrow body, at least one tine one a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a connection means disposed on the second chopstick body; and wherein the at least one tine of the first chopstick is proximate the at least one tine of the second chopstick when the connection means of the first chopstick is releasably secured to the connection means of the second chopstick.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for effecting the method are proposed that allow to define a subset of video signals from a source set of video signals on the basis of meta data available for the source set of video signals. The meta data assign a generic term to a sub-section of the audio channel of the source set of video signals, a class description to one or more sub-units of the sub-section for classifying the origin of the respective sub-unit, a category allocation to a segment, which is formed by a string of one or more classified sub-units of a sub-section, and a rating value to the segment for rating the reliability of the category allocation of the segment. The method includes steps for selecting segments of a sub-section with a rating value above a defined threshold value, assigning a priority value to each category, and specifying a first subset of video signals by defining an arrangement of selected segments by an order based on the respective priority and rating values related to each segment.
Abstract:
A method for retarding or reversing progression of myopia of a viewer includes providing an object in front of the viewer; providing a transparent layer between the viewer and the object; and providing a primary image on the transparent layer, the transparent layer allows the viewer to see the object as a secondary image simultaneously with the primary image, wherein the secondary image is focused in front of the central region of the retina. A method for reducing hyperopia of a viewer includes providing an object in front of the viewer to provide a primary image; providing a transparent layer between the viewer and the object; providing a secondary image on the transparent layer, the transparent layer allows the viewer to see the primary image simultaneously with the secondary image, wherein the secondary image is focused behind the central region of the retina. Other systems are also described herein.
Abstract:
A method for delivering information to a targeted group of users includes establishing a network that includes a plurality of users and a plurality of entities being connected with each other based on the interest of the users in the entities; searching for a targeted group of users who match a specification of an interest profile and a specification of a spatial temporal profile among the users in the network; and delivering information to the targeted group of users. The interest profile is based on the relationships between each user and the entities that the user is interested in. The spatial temporal profile is based on the location and the time on which the user accesses the network. A system for delivering information to a targeted group of users is also provided.
Abstract:
A method for treating progression of a refractive disorder in a human eye. The method includes the steps of producing a first image on a retina of the human eye and producing a second image to generate a defocus.
Abstract:
An electro-magnetic flow sensor, which is arranged for measuring a flow rate of liquid, includes a micro controller and a liquid flowing apparatus communicatively linking to the micro controller. The liquid flowing apparatus includes a flow chamber housing having a flow chamber for receiving the liquid therein, a magnetic source communicating with the flow chamber housing for generating a magnetic field within the flow chamber so as to allow the liquid exposing in the magnetic field, and an array of electrodes alignedly integrated with the flow chamber housing for measuring a voltage magnitude of flow generated in the flow chamber when the liquid flows within the flow chamber under the magnetic field, wherein the micro controller reads the voltage magnitude and converts the voltage magnitude into the flow data of the liquid.
Abstract:
A lens includes a viewing area having a first optical power and a blended area located between the viewing area and an edge of the lens. The blended area includes a plurality of at least partially annular regions. Each of the regions has a different optical power lower than the first optical power of the viewing area. The innermost region includes a highest optical power among the regions, and each subsequent outer region has a gradually lower optical power.
