摘要： A display device is provided, which can precisely control a light source by measuring the quantity of light from the light source under uniform conditions. The display device includes a display panel displaying an image, a light source generating light, a light guide plate guiding and providing the light to the display panel, a receptacle accommodating the light source and the light guide plate, an optical sensor fixed to the receptacle to sense the light, a light receiving hole formed at an edge of the receptacle to provide a path through which the light reaches the optical sensor, and an optical adjustment member interposed between the light guide plate and the optical sensor to reduce luminance of the light incident to the optical sensor. The optical sensor is completely exposed to the optical adjustment member through the light receiving hole.

摘要： Switched reluctance motor and an initial activating method thereof in which an aligning pulse is applied to a stator to make a rotor wait at a normal torque generating region to be driven, preventing the rotor from rotating in a direction reverse to a target rotating direction. The standby position of the rotor in the switched reluctance motor is sensed. When the standby position of the rotor corresponds to a reverse torque generating region where a torque causing rotation in a direction reverse to a target rotating direction is generated, an aligning pulse is applied to the stator, causing the rotor to rotate to a normal torque generating region where a torque causing rotation in a normal direction corresponding to the target rotating direction is generated. A driving pulse is then to the stator, causing the rotor waiting at the normal torque generating region to rotate in the normal direction.

For example, the backlight assembly includes a light source unit and a light source controller. The light source unit includes red, green, and blue LEDs generating red, green, and blue light, respectively. The light source controller detects amounts of the red, green, and blue light, respectively, to compare the actual light amount ratio of the red, green, and blue light with the reference light amount ratio. The light source controller controls the red, green, and blue LEDs, respectively, so that an actual light amount ratio becomes substantially identical to a reference light amount ratio when the actual light amount ratio is not identical to the reference light amount ratio.

摘要： A power control apparatus for a motor is disclosed. The power control apparatus includes: a moisture sensor for detecting moisture soaking into a housing including the motor; and a switching unit which is switched by an output signal of the moisture sensor, and switches on or off an AC power-supply signal applied to a driver circuit for providing the motor with a drive power-supply signal. Therefore, if moisture soaks into the suction apparatus including the motor, the AC power-supply signal applied to the driver circuit is blocked due to the moisture, such that a user can be protected from electric shock.
