摘要: An optical connector ferrule has an optical fiber containing hole reaching from the rear end surface near the end surface and a fine pore extending from the optical fiber accommodating hole to the end surface to be connected. A bare fiber of a polarization-maintaining optical fiber is inserted into the fine pore. Since the length of the fine pore is short, the influence of the uniformness of the adhesive in the fine pore is smaller, and therefore the stress distribution is maintained, resulting in stabilizing the polarization characteristics. A flange unit is attached to the ferrule after an optical fiber is inserted to the ferrule and fixed. Therefore the optical fiber is easily adjusted with respect to the housing in the circumferential direction around the axis, and optical fibers are connected by but joining with high accuracy.

摘要: An optical connector ferrule has an optical fiber containing hole reaching from the rear end surface near the end surface and a fine pore extending from the optical fiber accommodating hole to the end surface to be connected. 摘要: The present invention is applied to a structure in which to attach a backplane connector to a backplane so that the backplane connector can be moved by a desired amount, a clip from which a pair of elastic pawls project is used to engage the backplane with the backplane connector through holes in the backplane. The present invention allows the clip of this structure to be removed efficiently. That is, the present invention provides a clip removing tool 50 comprising disengaging pieces 52a and 52b that push in a pair of elastic pawls 29b through an attaching slot 31 in a backplane 23, the elastic pawls 29b being engaged with locking portions 34 on opposite side portions of a BH housing 26 are pushed, to disengage the elastic pawls 29b from the locking portions 34, as well as a clip removing method using this clip removing tool.

A ventilating window for the exhaust of air is provided with a mechanism for automatically opening a window casement when the atmospheric pressure inside the window is higher than the outside atmospheric pressure, thereby dispensing with forced exhaust using a fan or the like. A ventilating window for the supply of air is provided with a mechanism for automatically closing a window casement when the atmospheric pressure outside the window is higher than the inside atmospheric pressure, thereby preventing a strong wind from blowing into the interior. A ventilating window for both exhaust and supply of air is provided with both such opening mechanism and closing mechanism.

摘要: According to the present invention, an optical switch apparatus is provided for switching the connections between a plurality of fixed optical fibers which are fixed and arranged on an optical fiber support base within a container filled with an index-of-refraction matching agent, and movable optical fibers provided on a movable base which is moved by a moving mechanism comprising a worm gear within the aforementioned container. In addition, a worm gear driving member and a cam driving member of a matching device are both provided on the exterior of the aforementioned container via a seal. This worm gear driving member which is connected to a control device, starts the positioning sequence and moves the movable base to a standby position following return of the movable base to a predetermined origin within the container. As a result, it is possible to prevent contamination of the index-of-refraction matching agent over a long period of time, and thereby reduce the connection loss to a satisfactory level. In addition, since the driving precision of the movable base is also improved, it is possible to achieve superior effects such as reduction of the array pitch of the fixed optical fibers, improvement of the precision and increase in the multiplicity of the optical switch apparatus.

摘要: An optical connector that provides a housing body 21 and a fixed part 22 that are installed so as to hold a backplane 3, and connects an optical connector plug 4b inserted into said housing body 21 via an installation hole in said backplane 3 and another optical connector plug 4a inserted into said housing body 21 from the direction opposite to that of said optical connector plug 4b, wherein flexible claws 25 projecting from both sides of said fixed part 22 engage said housing body 21 via said installation hole 30 in said backplane 3, and thereby said backplane 3 is held between said housing body 21 and said fixed part 22. Simply by adjusting the floating range (amount of floating) of the flexible claws 25 within said installation hole 30 the floating range (amount of floating) of the housing body 21 can be reliably set. Thereby, when the housing body 2 engages the printed board housing, the dimensional error is offset reliably by the floating of the housing body 21, and the engagement is carried out smoothly. A special order part for setting the floating range of the housing body 21 is not necessary, and thus a lower cost is possible and assembly can be carried out easily. In addition, a structure can also be used wherein the flexible claws projecting from the housing body side engage the backplane by passing through the installation hole, and the backplane is held between the bearing walls on the side of the housing body.

摘要: The optical switch according to the present invention momentarily switches the optical transmission lines made of tapes in which optical fibers are laid parallel to each other. This optical switch has a main body provided at the top thereof with a plug chamber in which a stationary and moving plugs in which the end portions of the optical fibers are fixed so as to abut each other are received, and a sliding mechanism provided on the moving plug. Also, the optical switch has charged in the plug chamber thereof with an oil for reducing the connecting loss, and it has an oil-leak preventive mechanism to prevent the oil from leaking from the hole in which the push pin pressing the moving plug is inserted. Further, the optical switch is provided with a lateral-pressure adjusting mechanism which appropriately gives a lateral pressure to the moving plug by means of the push pin. Furthermore, the optical switch has a cushion mechanism to accommodate a fine vibration or the like caused as the moving plug is moved.
