摘要： A domain-adapted portable machine translation device for closed captions using dynamic translation resources and a method thereof are provided. The device and method improve translation performance with respect to various specialized domains by automatically recognizing style and domain of a caption sentence, dynamically constructing specialized translation module and knowledge, and performing automatic translation with optimal translation resources suitable for a corresponding sentence.Not only does the domain-adapted portable machine translation device for closed captions exhibit improved translation performance for sentences in various domains, but it can also be freely linked with various media devices through input/output terminals.

摘要： A user-interactive automatic translation device for a mobile device, includes: a camera image controller for converting an image captured by a camera into a digital image; an image character recognition controller for user-interactively selecting a character string region to be translated from the digital image, performing a character recognition function on the selected character string region based on an optical character reader (OCR) function and character recognition information to generate a text string; and user-interactively correcting errors included in the text string. Further, the user-interactive automatic translation device includes a text transmission controller for transmitting the error-corrected text string; and an automatic translation controller for receiving the error-corrected text string from the text transmission controller, performing a morpheme analysis, tagging, a structure analysis, a structure conversion, and a vocabulary conversion on the text string to generate a translation of the text string based on a grammar of a target language.

摘要： Provided are an automatic translation system based on structured translation memory and an automatic translation method using the same. In the automatic translation system, a translation memory establishment module changes a predetermined language pattern into a part translation pattern and registers the changed part translation pattern in a structured translation memory. A sentence unit translation module performs a translation of the sentence unit on an input sentence on the basis of the translation memory. A part combination translation module analyzes a structure of a language pattern less than the sentence unit which is included in the input sentence, searches the registered part translation pattern which is matched with the analyzed language pattern on the basis of the translation memory, and combines the searched part translation pattern to output a translation corresponding to the input sentence.

摘要： A translation-memory application method for automatic translation includes: generating TM-expanded forms by applying TM expansion rules respectively to source sentences whose morphemes have been analyzed; storing in an expanded TM database translated sentences corresponding to the generated TM-expanded source sentences; analyzing morphemes if an input sentence does not match any of the source sentences stored in basic TM database; generating a TM-expanded form by applying pertinent ones among the TM expansion rules to the input sentence whose morphemes have been analyzed; and producing, if the TM-expanded input sentence matches one of the TM-expanded source sentences stored in the expanded TM database, a translated output corresponding to the matched TM-expanded source sentence.

The device includes a machine translation engine having a morphological/syntactic analyzer for analyzing morphemes and sentences of an original text and generating original text analysis information, and a translation generator for generating a translation and translation generation information on the basis of the original text analysis information, and a user interface module for displaying sentence structures of the original text and the translation, and a relationship between the original text and the translation to a user on the basis of the original text analysis information and the translation generation information, and for receiving corrections to the original text or the translation from the user. The device and method provide a user interface whereby the user can effectively recognize and correct a mistranslated part and a cause of the mistranslation, and rapidly provides a re-translated result according to the correction. Thus, it is possible to perform high-quality translation which satisfies the user.

摘要： A hybrid translation apparatus includes a source language input unit for generalizing an input source language sentence for each node; a statistics-based translation knowledge database(DB) for storing learning data generalized for each node to be acquired; a first translation result generating unit for transforming the source language sentence generalized for each node into a node expression using the statistics-based translation knowledge to generate a first translation result; and a second translation result generating unit for repeatedly performing the generation of a target word for each node on the first translation result using pattern-based knowledge to generate a second translation result as target words for the respective nodes. Further, the hybrid translation apparatus includes a pattern-based translation knowledge DB for using in the pattern-based translation; and a translation result combining unit for combining the first translation result and the second translation result to output a target language sentence.
