摘要： [Problems] A sealing gasket for an alkaline dry cell formed from a 6-12 nylon resin by injection molding, which is inhibited from cracking that occurs at inserting a current collector through a central boss portion of a gasket and thereby reliably reduces occurrence of liquid leakage while retaining the advantages due to the use of the 6-12 nylon resin.[Means for Solving the Problems] A polyhexamethylene dodecamide resin is used as a resin material of injection molding, and one part or the whole of the same kind of recycled material which was once used in injection molding is used as the resin material of a section including at least the boss portion.

摘要： The plated steel plate for a cell can provides stable and good electrical contact on an outer surface of the cell can, and the evolution of gas within a battery can be suppressed by reducing damage to a plated surface of the steel plate when the cell can is formed by drawing press. In this manner, it is possible to provide a battery and an alkaline dry battery that can realize stable electrical contact with devices and reduce the evolution of gas. In a plated steel plate for a cell can both of whose surfaces are plated mainly with nickel, one surface of a steel plate that is a plated substrate is a dull finished surface, and another surface thereof is a bright finished surface.

摘要： An alkaline battery sealing gasket 33 made of a resin, comprises a peripheral packing portion 36 sandwiched in a pressed state between an opening end of a metal battery can 11 that contains an electricity generating element 20 and doubles as a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal 32 so as to seal the opening end with an airtight manner; and an isolation wall portion 37 for isolating a space on a back side of the negative electrode terminal from a space containing the electricity generating element, wherein in the isolation wall portion, a thinner portion 38 to break open earlier due to increases in gas pressure in the containing space to function as a safety valve is formed groove-like. A groove direction of the thinner portion 38 is in the same direction as an orientation of the resin of the gasket, and an Izod impact value of the resin forming the gasket is in a range of 20 to 60 J/m (at a temperature of 23±2° C. and a relative humidity of 50±5%).

摘要： This invention relates to a method and apparatus for forming a compost product from organic matter having high water content: the method involving (1) holding organic matter with a large amount of water in a treatment tank for one to three hours while providing a supply of air, heating to not more than 60.degree. C. and agitating and grinding the organic matter so that the matter is reduced to a rice porridge state and aerobic fermentation occurs, extracting generated gas and water vapor to the outside of the tank, thereby dehydrating and drying the organic matter to form a fermentation and decomposition product having a water content of not more than 65%, (2) holding the fermentation and decomposition product for one to six hours at a temperature between 60.degree. C. and 100.degree. C. to thermally decompose the fermentation and decomposition product, extracting generated gas and water vapor to the outside of the tank, thereby dehydrating and drying the fermentation and decomposition product to form a thermal decomposition product having a water content of not more than 45%, and (3) drying the thermal decomposition product for one to six hours at a temperature between 100.degree. C. and 135.degree. C. to sterilize the thermal decomposition product, extracting generated gas and water vapor to the outside of the tank, thereby dehydrating and drying the thermal decomposition product to form the compost product having a water content of not more than 30%; and an apparatus capable of accomplishing the above method.
