Abstract:
A keypad includes a circuit board, a key, and a rotating member. The circuit board includes at least one first keypad switch and at least one second keypad switch. The key includes a first protruding post configured for actuating the at least one first keypad switch, and a second protruding post for actuating the at least one second keypad switch. The rotating member is rotatably connected to the circuit board and able to retain in a first position and a second position. In the first position, the rotating member prevents the first protruding post from actuating the at least one first keypad switch and allows the second protruding post to actuate the at least one second keypad switch. In the second position, the rotating member allows the first protruding post to actuate the at least one keypad switch.
Abstract:
A tunnel dryer apparatus and method is disclosed. In one aspect, the apparatus includes a drying chamber having an infeed end for receiving articles to be dried, and a conveyor for conveying the articles through the drying chamber along a drying path to a discharge end of the drying chamber. The drying path includes at least one portion having a gradient for causing the articles to be tilted to distribute accumulated liquid on surfaces of the articles thereby facilitating drying of the article. In another aspect the apparatus includes a nozzle, operably configured to direct a pulsating jet of air toward passing articles thereby causing accumulated liquid on surfaces of the articles to be dispersed to facilitate drying of the article.
Abstract:
An improved ink-jet printable heat-transfer medium comprising a base substrate having a surface coated with a hot-melt layer and an ink-receptive layer is provided. The ink-receptive layer comprises: i) non-polymeric organic particles that are a reaction product of a diamine and two molecules, each molecule having at least one carboxylic acid group and at least five carbon atoms, ii) thermoplastic polymer particles, and iii) a thermoplastic film-forming binder. The heat-transfer paper can produce printed images having improved color quality, hand, and wash-durability on a variety of fabric materials.
Abstract:
Described herein are systems and methods for use with a load balancer or traffic director, and administration thereof. In accordance with an embodiment the system comprises a traffic director having one or more traffic director instances, which is configured to receive and communicate requests, from clients, to origin servers having one or more pools of servers. A traffic monitor, at the traffic director, monitors traffic, including the number of connections, between the traffic director instances and one or more of the resource servers within the origin servers. The traffic director can set a traffic rate which controls the traffic, including the number of connections, to provide surge protection, or rate acceleration/deceleration.
Abstract:
An optical disc drive for an electronic device is provided. The optical disc drive includes a rotating member, a spindle, a reading member and a controlling module. The rotating member includes a connecting member, and a first end fixed to a housing of the electronic device. The spindle is connected to a second end of the connecting member for rotating an optical disc arranged on the spindle. The reading member is fixed to the connecting member to read the optical disc. When a switch of the electronic device is actuated, a processing unit of the electronic device outputs a signal to the controlling module. The controlling module controls the rotating member to rotate. The connecting member moves the spindle and the reading member out of the housing, further controls the spindle to rotate the optical disc, and the reading member to read the optical disc.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with content invalidation are described. One example method includes providing an invalidation directive in a header of a response.
Abstract:
A display device includes a display screen, an image capturing device, a calculating module, and an image adjusting module. The display screen is capable of displaying an image thereon, and includes a first side. The image capturing device captures an image of a viewer, and includes an image sensor with a second side parallel to the first side. The calculating module identifies a left eye image and a right eye image of the viewer from the image of the viewer, and calculates an angle formed between the first side of the display screen and an imaginary straight line passing through the actual left eye and right eye of the viewer. The image adjusting module rotates the image on the display screen to make the first side of the display screen parallel to the imaginary straight line passing through the actual left eye and right eye of the viewer.
Abstract:
An ink-jet media having an absorbent substrate with a front surface and a back surface. The front surface of the substrate is coated with an ink-vehicle permeable, preferably radiation-cured coating. A microporous ink-receptive coating is deposited on top of the ink-vehicle permeable coating. An optional protective layer may be deposited on top of the microporous ink-receptive layer. The back surface of the substrate may also be optionally coated with a polymer curl-controlling coating.
