摘要: A driving assistance systems, methods, and programs are capable of communicating with a route guidance system that searches for a planned travel route of a vehicle and provides guidance on the planned travel route. The systems, methods, and programs accept, as input, the planned travel route from the route guidance system as a route for driving assistance and provide driving assistance of the vehicle on the route for driving assistance. The systems, methods, and programs accept, as input, when the planned travel route whose guidance is provided by the route guidance system no longer matches the route for driving assistance, the planned travel route from the route guidance system.

Route guidance systems search for a planned travel route based on route guidance map data, provide guidance on the planned travel route, output the planned travel route to the driving assistance system, and obtain, when versions of the route guidance map data and the driving assistance map data do not match each other, the route guidance map data whose version matches the version of the driving assistance map data from a map provider.

摘要: The present invention provides technology that updates a map such that appropriate guidance can be provided near an intersection. A map data update system updates map data on a link-by-link basis and includes a link acquisition portion that acquires an existing link which is a link indicated by existing map data and a new link which is a link indicated by new map data, and a link update portion that updates the existing link with the new link based on a shape of a portion of the existing link connected to an intersection and a shape of a portion of the new link corresponding to the existing link, the portion being connected to the intersection.

摘要: A map data storage device, a map data updating method, and a computer program that can shorten the time required for a map data updating process. In the case where map data stored in a navigation-side local DB of a navigation apparatus are to be updated, the navigation apparatus updates the map data stored in the navigation-side local DB on the basis of map updating data received from a map distribution center, and prepares a data reference index that associates a PID (universal identification information) included in the map data with a record number (internal identification information) included in the map data on the basis of the updated map data. After that, in the case where an application is executed by the navigation apparatus, the prepared data reference index is referenced to access the map data stored in the navigation-side local DB.

摘要: In a case where a specific position is designated in first road network data, first link group identification data containing a link, on which the specific position is present, is acquired, and a corresponding link group, which is a link group indicated by second link group identification data, corresponding to the first link group identification data, is extracted from second road network data. A corresponding position on a link contained in the corresponding link group, which corresponds to the specific position, is determined, and second information is acquired from second map data based on the corresponding position.
