Abstract:
An embedded power cell is formed by placing a cathode, anode, and electrolyte within a recess in an enclosure. The enclosure thus acts as part of an overall device and also contains the embedded power cell, eliminating the need for dedicated packaging for the power cell. In one implementation, a low-profile lithium ion battery with a polymerized electrolyte may be sealed within the enclosure. Other devices such as a cell temperature sensor, battery controller, and so forth may also be embedded within the enclosure.
Abstract:
According to one or more embodiments of the disclosure, systems and methods for reducing power consumption in a memory architecture are provided. In one embodiment, a method may include determining a transition from a first power state to a second power state. The method may also include determining, using a page location identifier to access a page location table, a first dirty memory page indication. Furthermore, the method may include copying data stored in a first memory location in a volatile memory corresponding to the page location identifier to a second memory location in a non-volatile memory corresponding to the page location identifier. The method may also include deactivating the volatile memory.
Abstract:
Augmented reality systems and associated methods, computer-readable media, techniques, and methodologies for improving contrast between projected or emitted computer-generated images and ambient light of a visible real-world environment are disclosed. Devices that incorporate such augmented reality systems are also disclosed.
Abstract:
In an implementation, an electrode is produced that includes a recessed region of an electrode material layer. The electrode can be part of a battery that provides power to an electronic device. The recessed region can expose a portion of a metal layer of the electrode. A tab can be coupled to the exposed portion of the metal layer. The tab can provide an external connection for the battery to provide power to components of the electronic device. The battery can be included in a battery package that includes a packaging material. A sealing material can be used to seal the tab at a location of the battery package where the tab extends beyond a periphery of the battery package.
