摘要: Methods, devices, systems, and computer program products are provided to improve sensitivity calibration of an in vivo analyte sensor and usability of an associated analyte monitoring system. In certain embodiments, methods are provided that improve the user experience of using an analyte monitoring system. Certain embodiments of the present disclosure include features that reduce the amount of calibration or re-calibration performed by the analyte monitoring system. More specifically methods of using a suspect calibration attempt to avoid having to recalibrate by adjusting the calibration or mitigating effects of sensor signal attenuation that caused the calibration attempt to be suspect are provided. Additional features are disclosed.

摘要: Methods, systems and devices for providing improved calibration accuracy of continuous and/or in vivo analyte monitoring systems based at least in part on insulin delivery information are provided. Many of the embodiments disclosed herein can determine appropriate conditions for performing a calibration of the analyte sensor in view of the scheduled delivery of insulin or administered insulin amount. One or more other parameters or conditions can also be incorporated to improve calibration accuracy including, for example, the physiological model associated with a patient, meal information, exercise information, activity information, disease information, historical physiological condition information, as well as other types of information. Furthermore, according to some embodiments, calibration of the analyte sensor can be delayed or not performed at all, if appropriate conditions are not met.

摘要: Method and apparatus for optimizing analyte sensor calibration including receiving a current blood glucose measurement, retrieving a time information for an upcoming scheduled calibration event for calibrating an analyte sensor, determining temporal proximity between the current blood glucose measurement and the retrieved time information for the upcoming calibration event, initiating a calibration routine to calibrate the analyte sensor when the determined temporal proximity is within a predetermined time period, and overriding the upcoming scheduled calibration event using the current blood glucose measurement are provided.

摘要: A system for managing a patient's glucose level includes a glucose sensor to generate and store data signals for measurements of the patient's glucose level made by the glucose sensor; an insulin pump; and sensor electronics operatively coupled to the glucose sensor, the sensor electronics comprising a memory storing one or more predetermined characteristics associated with the sensor electronics; and a computing device in electronic communication with the sensor electronics. The computing device comprises a processor configured to operate the sensor electronics to (i) receive the generated data signals, (ii) obtain the one or more predetermined sensor characteristics from the memory and (iii) execute a closed-loop algorithm to provide insulin delivery instructions to an insulin pump by at least using the data signals and predetermined characteristics.

摘要: Methods, devices, and systems are provided for identifying dropouts in analyte monitoring system sensor data including segmenting sensor data into a plurality of time series wherein each time series is associated with a different instance of a repeating event, selecting a first time series to analyze for dropouts from the plurality of time series; comparing the selected first time series to a second time series among the plurality of time series, determining whether the selected first time series includes a portion that is more than a predefined threshold lower than a corresponding portion of the second time series, and displaying, on a computer system display, an indication that the selected first time series includes a dropout if the selected first time series includes a portion that is more than the predefined threshold lower than the corresponding portion of the second time series.
