摘要: An analyte monitor includes a sensor, a sensor control unit, and a display unit. The sensor has, for example, a substrate, a recessed channel formed in the substrate, and conductive material disposed in the recessed channel to form a working electrode. The sensor control unit typically has a housing adapted for placement on skin and is adapted to receive a portion of an electrochemical sensor. The sensor control unit also includes two or more conductive contacts disposed on the housing and configured for coupling to two or more contact pads on the sensor. A transmitter is disposed in the housing and coupled to the plurality of conductive contacts for transmitting data obtained using the sensor. The display unit has a receiver for receiving data transmitted by the transmitter of the sensor control unit and a display coupled to the receiver for displaying an indication of a level of an analyte. The analyte monitor may also be part of a drug delivery system to alter the level of the analyte based on the data obtained using the sensor.

A neighborhood may be represented by a given cell to be evaluated and possibly one or more neighbor cells of the given cell. A desired simulation of one or more of the neighborhoods may be implemented in order to evaluate network performance. The neighborhood may be determined as a function of reverse link interference information, path loss information, or on a geographic distance between cells.

The equalization system includes a decision subsystem to determine when adjustments need to be made based on the frequency of 0s or 1s in the input signal. The equalization system also includes an equalization subsystem to determine, by default, or by user choice, a compensation for a channel's amplitude variation due to frequency response, and to apply the compensation to the input signal and generate an equalized output signal.

摘要: A glucose measuring system includes a glucose meter that incorporates wireless communication capabilities. The meter can advantageously be a low cost meter by eliminating expensive components, such as the display. The user nevertheless is able to retrieve and view his or her glucose values by referring to displays within the glucose measuring local area network. Feedback via these displays can advantageously be used by the diabetic to create a higher level of confidence and safety.
