摘要: A Wireless Access Point (WAP) for enabling remote access to data generated by systems of an aircraft including a wireless interface having a transmitter and a receiver; and a processor. The WAP is configured to: wirelessly receive sensor data generated by a plurality of sensors on an aircraft; receive aircraft data from an avionics system of the aircraft; wirelessly receive a data request signal from a remote computing device; and, responsive to the data request signal, wirelessly transmit to the remote computing device data based on received sensor data and/or received aircraft data.

A first wireless node of the plurality of wireless nodes is arranged to communicate with at least one other wireless node of the plurality of wireless nodes. The communication is via a secure communications channel and is on the basis of a control message received at the first wireless node. The at least one other wireless node is arranged to perform an operation on the basis of the control message.

摘要: A system including a sensor, a computing device and a Wireless Access Point (WAP). The sensor in response to receipt of an initiation signal, via a first communication channel, from a relatively proximal computing device, is arranged to generate and store first security information and to transmit, wirelessly via a second communications channel, a first message comprising information representing at least a part of the first security information. The WAP, which is remote from the sensor is arranged to receive and store the first message. The WAP is arranged to generate second security information and to transmit wirelessly to the computing device, via a third communications channel when the computing device is within range of the WAP, a second message comprising information representing at least a part of the second security information. The sensor is arranged to receive at least the second message via only the first communications channel.

摘要: A USB device for secure data loading to a system component, such as of an aircraft. The USB device is operable in a mass storage mode and in a non-mass storage mode. The USB device initially operates in the non-mass storage mode upon startup and comprises a storage for storing data to be loaded to the system component, a processor and a memory, wherein the memory contains instructions executable by the processor such that the USB device is operable to perform a security check on the data to be loaded to the system component, and switch, upon the security check, from the non-mass storage mode to the mass storage mode to provide the data for loading to the system component.
