摘要： An optical head is provided that increases the light utilization efficiency and that can be adapted to high-speed recording and double-layer disks. A beam-shaping lens that shapes an elliptical beam emitted from a light source into a substantially circular beam has a pair of cylindrical surfaces that are curved in the same direction. The cylindrical surface that is closer to the light source is an aspherical surface, and the cylindrical surface that is closer to the light source is a spherical surface. Thus, an optical head is obtained, with which aberrations can be kept low, even when the beam-shaping magnifying power is about a factor 2.

摘要： A cylinder-shaped Cr mask having a diameter of 0.15 μm is formed at a pitch of 0.15 μm on a quartz glass substrate. The quartz glass substrate on which the cylinder-shaped Cr mask is formed is placed in a RF dry-etching apparatus and the surface of the quartz glass substrate is etched with CHF3+O2 gas. Thus, a cone-shaped antireflection structure with a pitch of 0.15 μm and a height of 0.15 μm is formed on the surface of the quartz glass substrate. An Ir—Rh alloy film having a thickness of 0.05 μm for protecting the surface is formed on the surface (pressing surface) of the quartz glass substrate provided with the cone-shaped antireflection structure to form a mold having an antireflection structure. An optical material 11 (crown based borosilicate glass) to which a releasing agent containing carbon (C) particulates for mold release is applied is press-molded with the mold having an antireflection structure, and the press-molded optical material is released from the mold having an antireflection structure without cooling. After the press-molded optical material is cooled, the releasing agent is removed.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, an apparatus-side terminal provided to a first inner side wall of the apparatus body, a developer container to contain developer and to be removably installable in the apparatus body, a container-side terminal electrically connectable to the apparatus-side terminal and disposed in a first end portion of the developer container in a longitudinal direction thereof, and an apparatus-side protrusion projecting inward from the first inner side wall of the apparatus body. In removal of the developer container from the apparatus body, a second end portion of the developer container in the longitudinal direction is disengaged from the apparatus body before the first end portion is disengaged from the apparatus body, and the apparatus-side protrusion contacts the first end portion of the developer container immediately after removal of the developer container from the apparatus body is started.

摘要： The developer container includes a rotator that is rotated in the container body, a sequence of gears disposed outside the developer container that transmits a torque to the rotator, and a container guiding portion that fits with a main body side guiding portion and guides the developer container in a direction in which the developer container is attached to a mounting portion of an image forming device main body. A first gear included in the sequence of the gears is movable between an operating position where the first gear engages with a second gear and a retracted position where the first gear is retracted. On a surface on which the container guiding portion is disposed, a part of the container guiding portion is disposed within a projected area of the first gear being disposed at the operating position.

The toner transport screw, in which a helical blade is disposed on the circumference of a rotating shaft, has at least one spiral direction reversal part formed by connecting the respective ends of a first blade part and a second blade part, the directions of spiral of the first blade part and the second blade part being in opposite directions. A passage, which allows the toner to pass through the blades in the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft, is formed in the spiral direction reversal part.

The ring surface (17a) is positioned on a portion of the first lens component protruding from a joint portion (14) between the first lens surface (13) and the peripheral surface (15a) in a first direction from the second lens surface (20) to the first lens surface (10) along an optical axis of the first lens component (10) and is exposed out of the second lens component (20).

摘要： A development device includes a developer carrier, a bearing member, a biasing member, and a guide. The developer carrier supplies a developer to an electrostatic latent image formed on an image carrier to develop the electrostatic latent image into a toner image. The bearing member rotatably supports the developer carrier axially. The biasing member is provided on a side of the bearing member opposite the image carrier to apply a force to the bearing member to move the bearing member and the developer carrier toward the image carrier. The guide is disposed about the bearing member to enable the bearing member to move therebetween and guide the bearing member toward the image carrier. The bearing member includes a rotatable part to rotate and slide over the guide while contacting the guide.
