    摘要: A light source device includes: a light-emitting part; a light guide including in its center a columnar part whose central axis direction is a lengthwise direction, that guides light input into an end face from the light-emitting part, and outputs light from a side face of the columnar part; a light guide holder that covers an end of the light guide except for at least part of the end face; and a support part, including a through-hole that penetrates from one face to another face formed therein, that holds an end of the light guide holder on a side of a first opening on the one face of the through-hole so as to allow sliding in the lengthwise direction, and light is input into the light guide via a second opening on the other face of the through-hole.

    摘要: A light guide propagates light emitted by a light source in the long axis direction. A fluorescent material layer surrounds the outer periphery of the light guide except for an opening along the long axis direction. A light reflecting pattern is provided on the outer periphery of the light guide opposite to the fluorescent material layer. The fluorescent material layer captures light reflected by the light reflecting pattern and exiting from the outer periphery of the light guide, reflects part of the light, and emits light of different wavelengths. The light emitted by the fluorescent material layer is transmitted into the light guide, and the light having entered therein from the end and the light emitted by the fluorescent material layer are emitted to the object from a portion of the light guide that is exposed in the opening.

    摘要: An image sensor includes a light source; a bar-shaped light-guiding element having a first light-emitting section, which propagates light from the light source and irradiates an document from an oblique direction, and a second light-emitting section emitting light in a carrying direction of the document; a lens converging the light reflected from the document; a sensor receiving the light passed through the lens; a reflector disposed on the opposite side of the light-guiding element, by reflecting the light from the second light-emitting section such that an optical path of the light emitted from the second light-emitting section is located between the lens and the document, and irradiating the document from an oblique direction; and first and second light-scattering layers formed in areas opposed to the first and the second light-emitting sections, respectively, in the light-guiding element.

    摘要: An image reading apparatus includes a light source, an imaging optics system, an image pickup device unit, a memory, and a processor. The imaging optics system condenses scattered light reflected on an object to be imaged to form condensed light as an image. The imaging optics system includes plural cells arranged in a main scanning direction and each of which is an independent imaging optics system. Each of the cells includes a telecentric optics system at the document side. Two rows of cells are arranged in a sub-scanning direction. The cells in the rows are arranged zigzag in the main scanning direction to complement a formed image by the cells in the sub-scanning direction. The image pickup device unit is arranged to correspond to each cell. The processor can form a document image by reconstructing and combining image information stored in the memory into an image.
