摘要： An image processing apparatus includes a first processor for outputting first image data and a second processor for outputting second image data different from the first image data. The apparatus also includes a first detector for detecting a processing stage of the first processor and a second detector for detecting a processing condition of the second processing means. The apparatus also includes means for judging whether operations, to interrupt the processing by the first processor and to execute the processing by the second processor, are permitted or inhibited on the basis of a first detection result of the first detector and a second detection result of the second detector.

摘要： A memory management control device and a memory management control method capable of preventing run away of an image processing apparatus caused by a rewrite to a memory, are provided. In rewriting a program stored in a flash memory 402 of a controller 400 included in an image processing apparatus, an operating state detector 500 detects the operating state of the image processing apparatus and transmits the detection result to an external apparatus 9. On the basis of this detected operating state, the external apparatus 9 performs rewrite control for the flash memory 402. If the image processing apparatus is in operation, or is in an intermediate state, an abnormal state, or a wait state, a rewrite action is executed after the state is canceled.

摘要： An image processing system includes an input device which inputs an n page document, with the n pages being reduced in size so that a predetermined number of the n pages can be layed out in a layout print format on a single sheet for recording. A selection device selects between first and second layout modes for laying out the predetermined number of pages in the layout print format for recording. In the first layout mode the predetermined number of the n pages are first layed out in the layout print format and are subsequently stored in a storage device, and are then read from the storage device for recording on a single sheet. In the second layout mode the predetermined number of pages are first stored in the storage device on a page by page basis, are then read from the storage device and are subsequently layed out in the layout print format, and are then recorded on a single sheet.

An image formation operation is interrupted in accordance with the sheet size information to be confirmed and the sheet size information acquired according to the instruction from the operator.

摘要： When image forming is to be successively performed on recording sheets having different sizes, an image forming apparatus suitably executes adjustment processing on a fixing apparatus or the like used in the image forming, and maintains image quality as well as suppresses a drop in productivity. To accomplish this, the image forming apparatus specifies the size of a printing material onto which an image is to be performed, and with use of the specified printing material size and the size of printing materials on which images have been formed immediately previously, determines whether it is necessary to execute adjustment processing for maintaining image quality. Specifically, adjustment processing is executed only if the size of the printing material on which an image is to be formed is greater than the size of the printing materials on which images were formed immediately previously.
