    摘要: Disclosed is a laminated photosensitive plate for electrophotography, which comprises a conductive substrate, a charge generating layer containing a photoconductive organic pigment, which is formed on the surface of the substrate, and a charge transporting layer formed on the charge generating layer, wherein the charge transporting layer is formed of a homogeneous composition comprising an electron-donative polymeric photoconductor and a fused ring-containing, electron-donative polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon incorporated in the polymeric photoconductor in an amount of 0.05 to 3 parts by weight per part by weight of the polymeric photoconductor.In this laminated photosensitive plate, by incorporation of the fused ring-containing, electron-donative polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon into the charge transporting layer, not only mechanical properties such as abrasion resistance, toughness and adhesion but also electrophotographic characteristics such as initial saturation surface voltage, sensitivity and residual voltage can prominently be improved.

    摘要: An electrophotographic photosensitive material suitable for offset printing and lithography comprising a flexible substrate, an electroconductive back coat layer formed on one surface of the substrate, an electroconductive intermediate layer formed on the other surface of the substrate and a photoconductive layer formed on the intermediate layer, said photoconductive layer being composed of a fine powder of a photoconductor dispersed in an electrically insulating resin, wherein said intermediate layer is composed of a composition comprising (A) an acrylic resin, (B) a vinyl acetate polymer having a degree of polymerization of 100 to 1700 and (C) a resinous conducting agent, in said composition the weight ratio of acrylic resin (A)/vinyl acetate polymer (B) is in the range of 4/1 to 10/1 and the amount of the conducting agent (C) is 20 to 100 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the sum of the components (A) and (B), said intermediate layer has such a multi-layer distribution structure that a combination of the vinyl acetate polymer and the acrylic resin is predominantly distributed in the surface portion falling in contact with the photoconductive layer, and the photoconductive layer is bonded to the intermediate layer through said surface portion.

    摘要: In an electrostatic photographic process comprising subjecting an electrostatic photographic photosensitive plate to the combination of negative charging, positive charging and imagewise exposure to form an electrostatic latent image of a positive polarity, said electrostatic photographic photosensitive plate having such charging characteristics that a photosensitive layer can be positively charged by sequential negative corona charging and positive corona charging and positive charging is rendered substantially impossible by irradiation with light, and then subjecting the so treated photosensitive plate to positive charging a predetermined number of times, whereby an electrostatic latent image is formed the predetermined number of times by imagewise exposure conducted once, if a zinc oxide-resin dispersion is used for the photosensitive layer of the photosensitive plate and predetermined amounts of a triphenylmethane basic dye and a silicone oil are incorporated in the photosensitive layer, the time required for negative charging can be shortened, and the charge potential at the time of positive charging can be increased and accumulation of the residual potential after irradiation with light can be reduced.

    摘要: A process for preparing a photosensitive material for electrostatic photography having an improved memory resistance, which comprises a photoconductive layer on an electrically conductive substrate, the photoconductive layer comprising (1) a finely divided inorganic photoconductor, (2) 5 to 50 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the photoconductor of an electrically insulating organic synthetic resin binder having a specific resistance of at least 10.sup.14 ohm-cm, and (3) 0.001 to 1 % by weight, based on the photoconductor, of at least one photo-memory erasing compound selected from alkali metal dichromates, which process comprises forming the photoconductive layer by applying a coating composition to the electrically conductive substrate at a coating weight of 5 to 50 g/m.sup.2, the coating composition comprising the photo-memory erasing compound, the photoconductor, the resin binder, an aromatic solvent in which the resin binder is dissolved or dispersed, an a polar solvent for the photo-memory erasing compound, the polar solvent being soluble in the aromatic solvent and being selected such that the photo-memory erasing compound is soluble in said polar solvent.
