摘要： A distributed feedback semiconductor laser which achieves a phase shift for stabilizing the longitudinal mode without a substantial increase in reactive current and without introducing dimensional discontinuities in the laser stripe. The active layer of the laser is configured as a multi-quantum well and impurities are selectively diffused into the multi-quantum well to disorder a selected portion of the active layer. The disordered portion has an optical propagation constant which is different than that of the remaining stripe, and the difference in propagation constant coordinated with the length of the phase adjustment section produces a phase shift adequate to stabilize the laser longitudinal mode.

摘要： The inventors examined the role of MK in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis, which is a human model for multiple sclerosis. As a result, they discovered that MK has the effect of inhibiting regulatory T cells, and that the autoimmune mechanism induced by type 1 helper T cells can be suppressed by inhibiting MK expression or its activity, thereby increasing the number of regulatory T cells. Furthermore, it was found that diseases associated with the functional disorder of regulatory T cells can be treated with the administration of an inhibitor that inhibits MK expression or activity.

摘要： Disclosed is a cleaning device with a squirter for squirting liquid forward of a cleaning head. The cleaning head has a nozzle head whose squirt surface is curved. In the nozzle head, squirt directions of nozzles, which are arranged to fan out at a squirt angle, are substantially perpendicular to tangents to the squirt surface. Therefore, liquid squirted from the nozzles tends to fly straight along the squirt directions without being drawn to the squirt surface.
