摘要: A system and a method for determining an angular position of a rotor and a radial position of the rotor are provided. The rotor has either a slot or a protrusion on the rotor. The rotor is centered about a center point. The method includes generating a first signal utilizing a first sensor disposed proximate the slot or protrusion of the rotor. The method further includes determining a first angular position of the rotor by identifying a first corrupted portion of the first signal. The method further includes removing the first corrupted portion of the first signal to obtain a second non-corrupted position signal. The method further includes determining a first radial coordinate of the center point of the rotor based on the second non-corrupted position signal.

摘要: A networked system shares operational information (tasks, positions, times, etc.) between dissimilar operators performing dissimilar operations in a same marine field. The shared information include associations (linkages and conflicts) that allows each operator to optimize its operations and complete tasks in a more efficient manner. As part of this system, a planning tool having a graphical user interface can be used to visualize plans at an operator (and nearby operators). Changes made to plans by one operator are shared with other operators via the system and illustrated in the interface at the other operators, thereby allowing the other operators to make their own respective operational changes in response.

摘要: A system (100) for providing multiple facility healthcare corporations the ability to assign and maintain shared medical record numbers (43) across multiple entities. The system establishes a parent/child relationship among the entities to share medical record number ranges, formats, and data. A patient record identifier database (102) contains patient records in a searchable unit record file (50) and an identification number file (3). A search processor (105) locates relevant records and a rules processor (104) applies various tests to the returned data in order to assign a medical record number (43, 13) to a single unique unit reference number (2, 5, 11) to a person without duplication or conflict with identifiers used at other entities (4, 9, 190). The reference numbers and their associated medical records are shared among the various entities. The sharing relationships may be altered by authorized users accessing on line file maintenance (312) and programs (311).

摘要: A semiconductor device includes a single crystal substrate and a dielectric layer overlying the substrate. The dielectric layer includes at least one opening having a first portion and an overlying second portion. The first portion has a depth and width, such that an aspect ratio of the depth to width is greater than one. The semiconductor device further includes a first material having a first portion and a second portion, the first portion of the first material filling the first portion of the at least one opening. Defects for relaxing strain at an interface between the first material and the substrate material exist only within the first portion of the first material due to the aspect ratio being greater than one. The second portion of the first material is substantially defect free. Furthermore, the second portion of the first material and an overlying second material different than the first material fill the overlying second portion of the at least one opening. The second material has a thickness which is less than a critical thickness to maintain the second material in a strained state. The strained second material functions as a channel for charge carriers.

摘要: An insulating layer (24, 66, 82) is formed over a stack (14) of materials and a semiconductor substrate (12) and an implant is performed through the insulating layer into the semiconductor substrate. In one embodiment, spacers (26) are formed over the insulating layer (24), the insulating layer (24) is etched, and heavily doped regions (36) are formed adjacent the spacers. The spacers (26) are then removed and extension regions (50) and optional halo regions (46) are formed by implanting through the insulating layer (24). In one embodiment, the insulating layer (24) is in contact with the semiconductor substrate (12). In one embodiment, the stack (14) is a gate stack including a gate dielectric (18), a gate electrode (16), and an optional capping layer (22). The insulating layer (24, 66, 82) may include nitrogen, such as silicon nitride and aluminum nitride. In another embodiment, the insulating layer (24, 66, 82) may be hafnium oxide.
