    摘要: A trackpad has a cover abutting a housing. The cover includes a body that is transparent to infrared light and visible light. A first ink, deposited in a first area on a surface of the cover body, is transmissive to the infrared light and substantially opaque to visible light. A second ink is deposited in at least one second area on the surface of the cover body and is transmissive to visible light. A first emitter, within the housing, produces infrared light that is transmitted through the cover. A second emitter, within the housing, produces visible light that is transmitted through each second area of the cover. An optical sensor is provided within the housing for receiving infrared light that is reflected by an external object back through the cover.

An example electronic device includes a display and an input interface being pivotably coupled relative to the display about a swivel axis. In one embodiment, there is provided a keypad assembly for a portable electronic device, comprising: a keypad having a number of keys each having an actuator post attached to a back side thereof; a circuit board; a light guide located between the keypad and the circuit board, the light guide defining a number of holes which provide paths for respective actuator posts to travel through to contact respective electrical switches on the circuit board; and at least one friction device located in one of the holes of the light guide, the friction device providing a physical barrier limiting movement of the actuator post in a direction normal to a direction of actuation, the friction device applying friction to at least one side of the actuator post and resisting movement of the actuator post in the direction of actuation.

An example keypad includes a keypad support having a first surface defining a cavity, and an electrical switch assembly coupled to the keypad support. The electrical switch includes a printed circuit board having at least a portion repositioned relative to a second surface of the printed circuit board. The repositioned portion is located in the cavity and the second surface is located on the first surface of the keypad support when the printed circuit board is coupled to the keypad support. The repositioned portion is attached to the second surface of the printed circuit board. A dome switch is aligned with the repositioned portion of the printed circuit board and is at least partially positioned in the cavity of the keypad support.
