Abstract:
Embodiments of the claimed subject matter provide a method and apparatus for scheduling adaptive bit rate streams. Some embodiments of the method include accessing, at user equipment, a first bit rate selected from a plurality of bit rates used to encode a portion of an adaptive multimedia stream, a size of the portion of the adaptive multimedia stream, and a play out duration of the portion of the adaptive multimedia stream. Some embodiments of the method also include providing, from the user equipment, indications of the first bit rate, the size, and the play out duration.
Abstract:
Various embodiments provide a method and apparatus for determining tag location by using one or more estimated channel responses (CR) that characterize the wireless channel between the tag and one or more respective anchors. In particular, a tracking server in communication with the anchor(s) determines the tag's location based on a comparison of the estimated CR(s) with a set of stored CRs associated with the anchor(s).
Abstract:
A concept for scheduling in a communication system (500). The communication system comprises a mobile transceiver (100), a base station transceiver (200) and a data server (300). A scheduling concept at the base station transceiver (200) is based on context information determined by the mobile transceiver (100), the base station transceiver (200) and/or the data server (300).

Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for scheduling of radio resources to user terminals (UE11-UE24) of different network operators using a scheduling unit, wherein the scheduling unit determines weight parameters for the user terminals (UE11-UE24) of the different network operators for scheduling of the radio resources based on a predefined distribution of radio resources among the different network operators (si) and at least one data throughput per user terminal in a time interval (Tij), and the scheduling unit schedules the radio resources to the user terminals (UE11-UE24) of the different network operators based on said weight parameters, and a base station therefor.
