    摘要: A system for controlling an HVAC system and for monitoring energy usage at a premises is described. The system includes an energy meter at a electrical distribution panel, where the energy meter connected to one or more current transformers monitoring the current in one or more input lines and load lines and collecting current information for each of the monitored lines. The energy meter is further including a wireless radio to transmit the current information. An intelligent thermostat is operable to control the HVAC system at the premises according to environmental data sensed by the intelligent thermostat, and to receive the current information from the energy meter and to transmit the current information to a remote server for processing. A remote server is operable to process the current information from the energy meter by applying a scaling factor to the current information to determine energy usage.

    摘要: Disclosed is a DC/DC converter apparatus comprising a full bridge non-resonant pulse-width-modulated (PWM) switching circuit, which includes inductive device(s), clamp diodes, and an output transformer rectifier and filter circuit. Capacitive and diode elements associated with bridge switching devices operate to switch current through the switches at substantially zero voltage (ZVS). The inductor element and clamp diodes are used to reduce the primary transition shoot through current resulting from reverse recovery of the transformer secondary rectification stage while also reducing emi and semiconductor stresses.

    摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for monitoring and adjusting angular speed or rotational frequency of a fan as well as wear. As a result of being able to monitor the angular speed or rotational frequency of a fan, a prediction of both wear and failure can be made. Due largely to increasing internal friction related to the amount of wear, the energy required to operate a fan at a given angular speed or rotational frequency varies. Hence, an algorithm and certain devices can be employed to make wear and failure predictions of either an mechanical or electrical fan based on energy consumption relative to an angular speed or rotational frequency.

    摘要: Disclosed is a leveraged handle apparatus which may alternatively be used as an ordinary latching and locking device for a hinged door to an enclosed area or as an insertion/extraction device for easily inserting or extracting an electronic module or other container from an enclosure where electrical pins may be damaged by improper insertion techniques, and/or the insertion/extraction forces may be more than can be conveniently provided by a technician. The outer surface of the handle and an associated latch may be flush with the other outer surfaces when the door is closed or the container is fully inserted in the enclosure. When the handle is in an unlatched condition, a spring mechanism is used to encourage the handle toward a fully open position for ease in using a finger pull for extracting or otherwise handling the object to which the handle is attached.
