    摘要: One embodiment of the present invention relates to a system for calibrating of timing between an amplifier input signal and a modulated supply power. The system includes a supply modulation component, an error metric component, and a delay determiner. The supply modulation component provides the modulated supply power and the amplifier input signal according to an input signal and a set delay signal. The error metric component provides information from a transmitted amplitude signal and a received amplitude signal. The delay determiner generates timing adjustments in the form of the set delay signal from the error metric information.

    摘要: An envelope tracking system and a method for adjusting a nonlinear transfer function of an envelope tracking power supply for a power amplifier are provided. An output signal of the power amplifier is provided to a feedback receiver for determining an actual performance of the envelope tracking power amplifier. An assumed performance of the envelope tracking power amplifier is determined by evaluating the nonlinear transfer function at a value defined by an input signal for a transmitter including the power amplifier. A difference between the assumed performance and the actual performance provides a correctional value for the nonlinear transfer function.

    摘要: A voltage control circuit is proposed, having an input for supplying a voltage control signal and having an output for production of a supply voltage. The voltage control circuit contains a control loop with a DC/DC converter arranged between a first node and a second node. The first node is designed to emit the difference between signals which are applied on the input side. The second feed node is designed to emit the sum of the applied signals. The first and the second feed nodes provide two point modulation with the DC/DC converter within the control loop of the voltage control circuit. In this case, a signal which is applied on the input side is split into a radio frequency component and a low frequency component. The processing of the low frequency component in the DC/DC converter reduces the requirements for the switching frequencies for the DC/DC converter, increases the efficiency of the voltage control circuit, and reduces the power losses.

    摘要: An amplitude modulator is provided, which has a first supply connection for supplying a supply potential and a second supply connection for supplying a ground potential. An amplifier stage with a push-pull output stage has a signal input for supplying a signal, and has a single-pole output for emitting a single-ended signal. In order to supply the push-pull output stage, the amplifier stage is connected in a supply path between the first and the second supply connection. A first controllable voltage source and a second controllable voltage source are also provided, whose control inputs are connected to a connection for control purposes by means of a differential modulation signal, and are connected between the amplifier stage and the first supply connection, or the amplifier stage and the second supply connection. Amplitude modulation is thus achieved by modulation of the supply voltage or of the supply current to the push-pull output stage.
