摘要: Some aspects relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing mechanisms for intelligent power saving in a wireless communication system. For example, a user equipment (UE) is configured to determine whether a movement state associated with the UE satisfies one or more movement conditions. The UE can further determine operational information associated with the UE, in response to the determination that the movement state associated with the UE satisfies the one or more movement conditions. The operational information can include location information, power level information, or background process information. The UE can further cease, at least based on the operational information and one or more operational conditions being satisfied, a signal measurement associated with a neighbor cell.

摘要: Embodiments described herein relate to managing access to 5G cellular baseband resources for 5G-capable wireless devices. A wireless device can monitor application workloads by analyzing communication network performance requirements for a given application in-use or launching for future use along with system-level indications of overall device usage, battery level, and mobility status to determine whether access to 5G cellular baseband resources is recommended for an application. A 5G cellular baseband resource recommendation is provided for an application indicating a level of bandwidth in current use or expected for future use as well as a confidence metric in the bandwidth level indication. The 5G cellular baseband resource recommendation is used with additional device criteria to determine whether access to one or more 5G radio frequency bands is allowed.

摘要: Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing time domain bandwidth part (TD-BWP) switch for carrier aggregation (CA) for balancing between the UE power consumption and a latency of the UE. For example, the UE includes one or more transceivers configured to wirelessly communicate with a base station on a plurality of component carriers (CCs) in a carrier aggregated (CA) network. The UE also includes a processor communicatively coupled to the one or more transceivers. The processor is configured to perform a time domain bandwidth part (TD-BWP) switch on a first CC of the plurality of CCs when the UE and the base station are communicating on the first CC. The processor is further configured to perform the TD-BWP switch on a second CC of the plurality of CCs when the UE and the base station are communicating on the second CC.

For example, a UE can be configured to add a plurality of padding bits to a transport block (TB) to reach a predetermined slot capacity for one transmission time interval (TTI) associated with UE traffic in response to determining that a parameter associated with the UE traffic meets a condition. The UE can be further configured to transmit the TB over the TTI to the base station and receive a message from the base station. The UE is further configured to change a time domain bandwidth part (TD-BWP) based on the received message.
