    摘要: Compact lens systems that may be used in small form factor cameras. The lens system may include a master lens with two or more lens elements arranged along an optical axis and having refractive power, and an optical actuator located on the object side of the master lens that may provide autofocus (AF) and/or optical image stabilization (OIS) functionality for the camera. An aperture stop for the camera may be included in the optical actuator, for example between a substrate and a flexible optical element of the optical actuator. Including the aperture stop in the optical actuator rather than in the lens stack may allow the optical actuator to be smaller in the X-Y dimensions (perpendicular to the optical (Z) axis) than it would be in a similar camera with the aperture stop located in the lens stack.

In some embodiments, components of a camera module for use in a multifunction device are assembled on a test station. Some embodiments include a method that includes capturing a single test image, calculating from the spatial frequency response data an optical tilt between the optical axis of a lens and an optical axis of the image sensor of the camera module, and mechanically adjusting an alignment of the lens and the optical axis of the image sensor of the camera module to reduce the optical tilt. In some embodiments, the capturing is performed using the components of the camera module, and the single test image contains visually encoded spatial frequency response data for characterizing the components of the camera module.

In some embodiments, the camera includes a reflected pulse detector for receiving a reflected electromagnetic pulse reflected by the target back along the optical path and through the aperture at a detect time subsequent to the transmit time. In some embodiments, the camera includes a shutter positioned for shielding the pulse detector from at least transmit time to an intermediate time between the transmit time and the detect time. In some embodiments, the shutter includes a layer of semiconductor material placed in the optical path at a point between the target and the detector.

    摘要: A tracking code is applied to a lens housing that holds one more lenses. A back focus distance and a tilt of an optical axis with respect to a datum of the lens housing is electronically recorded. A position of an image sensor surface of an image sensor mounted on a substrate is measured. The lens housing is positioned such that the optical axis is perpendicular to the image sensor surface using the measured position of the image sensor surface and the electronically recorded optical data for the lens housing. The lens housing is positioned along the optical axis such that the lenses are separated from the image sensor surface using the measured position of the image sensor surface and the electronically recorded back focus distance for the tracking code of the lens housing. The lens housing is joined to the substrate with an adhesive.
