摘要: A method for topology map determination comprises detecting at least one remote apparatus by a first apparatus, wherein each of the at least one remote apparatus and the first apparatus is identified by an identification information. The method further comprises determining a local distance information between the first apparatus and at least one of the at least one remote apparatus and receiving at least one distance measurement report from any one or each one of the at least one remote apparatus. The at least one distance measurement report comprises at least one peer identification information of at least one peer apparatus and an associated peer distance information between the remote apparatus and the at least one peer apparatus, and the method further comprises determining a topology map.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to facilitating apparatus interaction. In at least one example embodiment of the present invention, apparatuses may comprise both triggered communication activities and automated communication activities. Triggered communication activities may correspond to, for example, user and/or application instigated actions in a wireless apparatus. Automated activities may occur without any requirement for user intervention, and further, without any notification to the user that an action has occurred.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for supporting in a wireless communication system an allocation of radio resources to connections between mobile stations 10 and access stations 30 of a network. Each access station serves a sub-area. Each connection uses a radio resource. A respective power set is associated to each sub-area. In the network, an indication of radio measurements {right arrow over (PLk)} performed by a mobile station 10 on signals received from a plurality of sub-areas is received. Further, for a plurality of radio resources, a respective value indicating a signal quality is predicted, which can be expected to occur in a connection between the mobile station 10 and an access station 30 when using a particular radio resource. The prediction is based on power sets associated to the plurality of sub-areas and on the radio measurements performed by the mobile station 10.

摘要: A system, apparatus and method for utilizing a first communication interface(s) to initiate communications via a second communication interface(s). Auxiliary communication information is communicated from an initiating device to a target device(s) via a first over-the-air (OTA) communication interface. In response to the auxiliary communication information, an auxiliary communication module is activated at the target device for communication via a second OTA communication interface. The target device may then communicate with the initiating device and/or other devices via the second OTA communication interface.

摘要: A method includes receiving a command to change a medium access control (MAC) address associated with a wireless local area network (WLAN) apparatus; and changing the medium access control address, without restarting a wireless modem of the apparatus, only if a restriction on an allowed rate of medium access control address changes is not violated. An apparatus that operates in accordance with the method is also described.
