摘要: Useful articles, such as coatings, adhesives, printed graphics, 3D printed articles and molded articles are prepared by curing compositions containing one or more salts of ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acids comprising six or more carbon atoms, one or more multifunctional (meth)acrylate oligomers and one or more mono(meth)acrylate esters of alcohols which, when polymerized as homopolymers, have glass transition temperatures of at least 50° C.

摘要: The present invention relates to a curable composition comprising an ethylenically unsaturated compound and a specific photoinitiator having dual initiation mechanisms. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of a cured product, in particular a 3D-printed article, with this composition and to the use of this composition for obtaining an ink, a coating, a sealant, an adhesive, a molded article or a 3D-printed article. The invention further pertains to the use of a specific phosphine oxide photoinitiator in a 3D printing composition or 3D printing process.

摘要: A method is disclosed for us in additively manufacturing a three-dimensional carbon-bonded composite article. The method may include discharging from a print head a curable composition. The curable composition may include a) at least one aromatic, actinically curable component having an H/Catomic ratio of from 0.4 to 1.6, selected from the group consisting of (meth)acrylate oligomers, epoxy-functionalized compounds, oxetane-functionalized compounds and mixtures thereof; and b) at least one diluent comprising at least one actinically curable monomer. The curable composition may also include c) a reinforcement, and d) a photoinitiator. The method may further include irradiating the curable composition during the discharging to at least partially actinically cure the curable composition and form a preform of the three-dimensional carbon-bonded composite article. The method also includes pyrolyzing the preform to form the three-dimensional printed carbon-bonded composite article.

摘要: Heterocyclic-functional resins, such as epoxides, oxetanes, cyclic carbonates, lactides and lactones, are used in radiation-curable formulations along with ethylenically unsaturated materials such as (meth)acrylates to achieve improved mechanical properties and/or lower shrinkage in the cured compositions prepared therefrom as compared to formulations containing the ethylenically unsaturated materials but no heterocyclic-functional resin. Polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated metal complexes, such as Zn and Ca carboxylates prepared using unsaturated carboxylic acids or anhydrides, may be employed to effect thermal cure of the heterocyclic-functional resin component of such formulations, which are particularly useful in the production of 3D-printed articles and the like.
