摘要: An intervertebral implant has two U-shaped inserts set over each other with a center piece in between. The two inserts each have an opposing base surface, two lateral side surfaces, and a contact surface. The contact surface has a channel configured to receive a spinal process of a vertebral body. The center piece has two resting surfaces corresponding respectively to each contact surfaces. The contact and resting surfaces each have corresponding structures that can engage each other such that the U-shaped inserts can each be fastened in a detachable manner to the center piece. The U-shaped inserts each have on the same lateral side surface connecting means to fasten the inserts to gripping elements of a surgical instrument. And the first and second structures can be engaged or disengaged only by the lateral side surface fitted with the connecting means.

摘要: Intervertebral disc prosthesis including an upper apposition plate appropriate to rest against the base plate of an upper vertebra, a lower apposition plate spaced apart from the upper apposition plate and suitable to rest against the base plate of a lower vertebra, a plurality of elastic devices mounted between the two apposition plates and in their peripheral zones in a manner that the two apposition plates shall be displaceable in mutually resilient manner, and a central axis which runs essentially perpendicularly to the two apposition plates, the elastic devices being designed/configured in a manner that the intervertebral disc prosthesis as a whole exhibits asymmetrical stiffness.

摘要: A holding apparatus for the vertebra of a spinal column. It furthermore has a mount for a bar which is provided at the side of the holding apparatus which faces away from a clamping screw. The clamping screw of the holding apparatus produces a rigid connection of the holding apparatus to the bar which is located in the mount. The apparatus retains the bar in the mount and can be brought into connection with the holding apparatus so as to temporarily retain in the mount a bar which is introduced into the mount until the holding apparatus is fixed to the bar by way of a rigid connection.

摘要: An intervertebral implant includes a middle part, comprising two pins, which can be introduced into the intervertebral space between two vertebrae having a central axis, a first end intersecting the central axis, and a second end intersecting the central axis, and two longitudinal parts each with a longitudinal axis extending transversely to the central axis of the middle part and each with an apposition surface directed transversely to the central axis of the middle part contacting the two processi spinosi of two adjacent vertebra bodies. Each part is connectable with one end of the middle part in such a manner that the apposition surfaces are directed against one another. The middle part of the implant is extendable transversely to its central axis along the longitudinal axes of the two parts.

The base element also includes an upper apposition plate (6), which is disposed perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (5) at the top end (3) of the base element (1) and rests on the base plate of the vertebra, and a lower apposition plate (7), which is arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (5) at the bottom end (4) of the base element (1) and leans on the cover plate of a vertebra. The casing (2) serves a spring element having a defined spring rate.
