摘要: The revolving trailer for motorcycles is a portable trailer for transporting and supporting motorcycles. The revolving trailer includes a rotating platform, allowing a motorcycle mounted thereon to be rotated 180° so that the motorcycle can be driven off of the trailer, rather than having to be backed off of the trailer. The trailer includes a base, with a recess being formed in an upper surface thereof. The base has a central opening formed therethrough. The platform is mounted for rotation within the recess. An upper surface of the rotating platform is coplanar with the upper surface of the base, allowing the motorcycle to be smoothly driven onto and off of the rotating platform. A central opening is formed through the rotating platform. A central shaft or pivot pin extends through the central openings to secure the platform within the recess.

摘要: The dispenser for coiled materials (10, 10a) allows the installation of a coil of material (C) without unrolling the material and then rewinding it onto the dispenser A rotationally stationary base (12) has a rotating reel mounted on the base. The reel has a permanently installed flange and a removable flange (26) secured to the assembly by an axle. The removable flange (26) includes a spring to hold the removable flange securely against the coil of material (C) between the flanges (22, 26), thereby precluding significant looseness or play of a partially depleted coil. The assembly is preferably sufficiently narrow axially to permit passage between conventionally spaced sixteen-inch ′ on-center wall studs. The removable flange (26) may be removed, along with any centering guides, and a larger spool of material placed upon the permanent flange. A roll-around caddy may be used for dispensing larger and heavier coiled material.

摘要: Apparatus for obtaining the speed and acceleration of a motor vehicle in which the speed and acceleration are used in combination with exhaust emissions data obtained from the motor vehicle to analyze information about the pollutants being dispersed into the air by the motor vehicle. The apparatus includes a first radiation source producing a visible laser beam received by a first detector and a second radiation source producing a visible laser beam received by a second detector. The first and second radiation sources are arranged along the roadway with a known spacing and at a height so that the visible laser beams are interrupted by the front and rear wheels of the motor vehicle as it passes along the roadway. The detectors provide output pulses indicating whether the visible laser beams are interrupted and the time of the occurrence of each of the pulses is measured and recorded. An analyzer then calculates the speed and acceleration from the known spacing distance and the stored time measurements.

摘要: Apparatus for detecting and measuring relative concentrations of pollutants such as HC, CO and CO.sub.2 in the exhaust emissions from passing vehicles includes an infrared (IR) beam source for directing an IR beam through a vehicle's exhaust plume and a detector disposed on one side of a roadway and a lateral transfer mirror (LTM) disposed on the other side of the roadway for lateral reflecting of the IR beam back through the vehicle's exhaust plume and onto the detector. The LTM allows for close spacing and precise alignment between the emitted and reflected beam paths and permits the IR beam source and detector to be disposed in a single module. Compensation for variation in a range of vehicle operating conditions is provided by adjustable, computer-controlled potentiometers, while audio and/or visible light feedback of the detected IR signal allows a single operator to precisely align the optical components of the apparatus. The IR detector module includes a rotating mirror arrangement for directing the reflected IR beam in a pulsed manner onto a plurality of spaced detector elements, each adapted for detecting a specific pollutant, with the detector elements calibrated with each detected IR pulse to reduce errors arising from circuit drift.
