    摘要： A distributed acoustic wave detection system and method is provided. The system may include a fiber optic cable deployed in a well and configured to react to pressure changes resulting from a propagating acoustic wave and an optical source configured to launch interrogating pulses into the fiber optic cable. In addition, the system may include a receiver configured to detect coherent Rayleigh noise produced in response to the interrogating pulses. The CRN signal may be use to track the propagation of the acoustic wave in the well.

    摘要： A method of preparing a fuel composition containing a distillate fuel, a detergent additive and a cold flow additive, of a further additive selected from (a) acids and mixtures thereof; and (b) lubricity enhancing additives are provided, for the purpose of reducing the effect of the detergent additive on the cold flow performance of the composition, and/or improving the cold flow performance of the composition, and/or reducing the amount of cold flow additive in the composition, and/or increasing the concentration of detergent additive in the composition without undue impairment of the cold flow performance. The further additive is preferably selected from carboxylic acids, more preferably fatty acids, and mixtures thereof. The distillate fuel is preferably a middle distillate fuel. The overall fuel composition is preferably an automotive fuel composition, more preferably a diesel fuel composition.

    摘要： A carbon foam material with an improved oxidation resistance is created by blending formaldehyde with phenol to form a reactive mixture, polymerizing the reactive mixture with a non-oxidation promoting basic catalyst to form a resin article, foaming the resin article to create phenolic foam, and carbonizing the phenolic foam to create the carbon foam with an increased oxidation resistance. Specifically, the oxidation resistant carbon foam has a sodium content of approximately 0%. This inventive foam may also contain one or more oxidization inhibitors to impede the oxidation of the carbon foam when the foam is exposed to an oxidizing environment.

    摘要： A bulk material cargo container liner system comprises an inflatable bulk material cargo container liner which has at least one vacuum discharge tube member disposed internally within the bulk material cargo container liner and extending throughout the longitudinal extent thereof for discharging bulk cargo material outwardly from the bulk material cargo container liner, and at least one inflatable air bag component which also extends throughout the longitudinal extent of the bulk material cargo container liner and is initially disposed in a deflated state but which is adapted to be disposed in an inflated state when the bulk cargo material can no longer be evacuated under natural gravitational forces. By inflating the at least one inflatable air bag component, the angle of repose of the bulk cargo material disposed internally within the bulk material cargo container liner is effectively altered in a positive manner so as to cause the bulk cargo material to again flow toward the at least one vacuum discharge tube member whereby the bulk cargo material can be evacuated from the bulk material cargo container liner without the need for tilting the bulk material cargo container and the liner contained therein.
