摘要: An advanced system and method is provided. The advanced system and method comprises: a set of antennas including a set of transmit antennas and a set of receive antennas; a digital beamformer; and a processor operably connected to the set of antennas and the digital beamformer, the processor configured to; identify a set of orthogonal multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) signals, generate a first set of beams via the digital beamformer, and map the set of orthogonal MIMO signals into each of the generated set of beams. The advanced system and method further comprises a transceiver operably connected to the processor, the transceiver configured to: transmit, to a target scene via the set of transmit antenna of the set of antennas, a first signal based on the first set of beams; and receive, via the set of receive antennas of the set of antennas, a second signal based on a second set of beams that is reflected or backscattered from the target scene.

The first signal comprises a polyphase sequence.

摘要: An advanced radio apparatus includes a set of antennas; analog circuit; digital circuit; medium access control (MAC) controller; and processor operably connected to the set of antennas, the analog circuit, the digital circuit, and the MAC controller. The processor is configured to decompose wideband waveform signals into a time-frequency waveform based on a sequence of sub-band signals; generate a time-frequency radar waveform based on the decomposed wideband waveform signals; map, based on the time-frequency radar waveform, a constant amplitude zero auto-correlation (CAZAC) sequence into orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) sub-carriers to generate a first radar signal. A transceiver is connected to the processor and configured to transmit, to a target object via a transmit antenna of the set of antennas, the first radar signal and receive, via a receive antenna of the set of antennas, a second signal that is reflected or backscattered from the target object.

The apparatus further includes a controller operably connected to the radar circuit, the controller configured to identify a discrete Fourier transform (DFT) of a long constant amplitude zero autocorrelation (CAZAC) sequence including multiple segments, identify, via the MAC controller, time-frequency resources for the multiple segments, identify a set of time-frequency sub-channels in the time-frequency resources, and sequentially map each of the multiple segments to each of the set of time-frequency sub-channels. The radar circuit is configured to transmit, via the transmitter, a first signal based on the set of time-frequency sub-channels.
