    Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for controlling a Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) camera. A video stream is provided by the PTZ camera. The video stream includes a main image and a smaller picture-in-picture overlay. The main image and the overlay show the same view. The overlay has both a higher frame rate and a lower resolution compared to the main image. A movement control instruction is received, by the PTZ camera, in response to an evaluation of at least one of the main image and the overlay.

    Abstract: A method for detecting motion in a video sequence comprising distorted image frames is provided. The method comprises determining (101) a spatial resolution distribution for the distorted image frames; determining (102) a motion detection sensitivity map for the distorted image frames, the motion detection sensitivity map comprising areas having different motion detection sensitivity levels, wherein the motion detection sensitivity map is determined based on the spatial resolution distribution; and detecting (103) motion in the video sequence based on the motion detection sensitivity map. A motion detecting component and a camera including such a component is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A method for evaluating an updated analytical procedure in a monitoring system, comprising a plurality of monitoring device arranged to monitor similar environments, is provided.     Abstract: Upon detecting an event indicating enabling of security sensitive functionality of an electronic device, a value previously unknown to the electronic device is obtained and the current content of the data storage to a new current content of the data storage is updated according to an updating function based on the current content of the data storage and the value, wherein, without privileged access, the current content of the data storage can only be updated using the updating function. The value is further obtained in a management module and an expected new current content of the data storage is determined in the management module according to the updating function based on known original content of the data storage and the value. Upon determining that the new current content of the data storage differs from the expected new current content of the data storage, a validation module generates a security notification.
