    Abstract: The invention relates to a conveying device for conveying objects comprising a plurality of conveyor segments, each conveyor segment having a control unit for controlling the conveyor drive, and a bus communication, wherein each control unit is connected to the bus communication. Each control unit has a microprocessor for processing control signals, a first electronic memory connected to the microprocessor, in which a first control configuration is stored, and a second electronic memory in which a second control configuration is stored. The microprocessor is adapted to control the conveyor drive in a first operating mode with the control configuration stored in the first memory, to load the second control configuration from the second memory into the first memory when a configuration change command is received, and to control the conveyor drive in a first operating mode with the control configuration stored in the first memory.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for setting or modifying a programmable operating parameter associated with a power driven wheelchair is provided. In one embodiment, the method includes: a) operating a user interface device associated with a power driven wheelchair in a programming mode, b) selecting a programmable operating parameter associated with operation of the power driven wheelchair using the user interface device, c) selecting a value for the programmable operating parameter using the user interface device, and d) saving the selected value for the programmable operating parameter in a portion of a storage device associated with the power driven wheelchair using the user interface device. A method and apparatus for selecting one or more programmable parameter sets from a portable storage medium and saving the selected sets to a local storage device associated with a power driven wheelchair and vice versa is also provided.

    Abstract: An agricultural tractor (10) control system comprising an electronic control unit (ECU) (16) is provided in addition to a method of controlling a tractor (10). The ECU (16) is arranged to receive in real time signals from a plurality of sensors (40, 42) associated with operating functions of the tractor. The ECU (16) is also arranged to output control signals to a plurality of controlled operating components. Macroinstructions, or macros, are inputted to the ECU (16) by a user by direct definition or Internet download for example. Each macro comprises a condition and a command. The condition includes a trigger value and a corresponding input variable sensed by a respective sensor (40, 42, 50). The command involves the transmission of one of said output control signals to control an operating component in a predetermined manner. The ECU (16) is operable to run said macro during which the command is executed in response to the condition being met.
