    摘要: An ultrasound imaging system include a console with transmit circuitry configured to generate an excitation electrical pulse that excites transducer elements of a probe to produce an ultrasound pressure field and configured to receive an echo signal generated in response to the ultrasound pressure field interacting with tissue. The console further includes receive circuitry configured to convert the echo signal into an electrical signal, and an echo processor configured to generate a live ultrasound image based on the electrical signal into. The console further includes a tracking processor configured to extract, in real-time, a feature common to both the live ultrasound image and previously generated volumetric image data from at least the live ultrasound image, and register, in real-time, the live ultrasound image with previously generated volumetric image data based on the common feature extracted in real-time to create the fused image. A display displays the fused image.

    摘要: An imaging system includes transmit circuitry, a transducer array with an array of capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer elements, a beamformer, a decoder and a display. The transmit circuitry includes a signal generator and at least one excitation coding scheme. The transmit circuitry combines an excitation signal generated by the signal generator with an excitation coding scheme of the at least one excitation coding scheme, generating a coded excitation signal. The array of transducer elements is excited with the coded excitation signal to emit ultrasound signals. The coding scheme does not introduce heating on the capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer elements. The array of ultrasonic transducer elements receives echo signals produced in response to the ultrasound signals interacting with structure and generates electrical signals indicative thereof. The beamformer beamforms the electrical signals, the decoder removes the coding from the beamformed signals, and the display displays an image with the decoded signals.

    摘要: A 3-D endocavity ultrasound probe includes an instrument holder having a channel configured to guide an instrument. The 3-D endocavity ultrasound probe further includes an elongate shaft with a center line, a first side, a second opposing side with a recess configured to receive the instrument holder over the center line, and a drive system disposed in the first side and not over the center line. The 3-D endocavity ultrasound probe further includes a probe head disposed at an end of the shaft. The probe head includes a rotatable support and a transducer array coupled to the rotatable support. The drive system is configured to rotate the rotatable transducer array support thereby rotating the transducer array. The channel extends along the center line thereby providing an instrument path in-plane with a sagittal plane of the elongate shaft.
