A process for the preparation of a propylene polymer containing a coloring agent in an amount ranging from 0.2 to 30 ppm referred to the weight of propylene polymer, including the steps of: a) providing a solid ZN catalyst component made from or containing Mg, Ti, halogen and an internal electron donor compound, wherein the Ti being in an amount ranging from 0.1 to 10% of the total weight of solid catalyst component; b) providing a coloring agent made from or containing at least a pigment; c) mixing the ZN catalyst particles and the coloring agent in a liquid hydrocarbon medium, thereby obtaining a slurry and d) feeding the slurry to a polymerization reactor and subjecting the reactor to polymerization conditions, thereby yielding the propylene polymer.

A Prepolymerized catalyst component for the polymerization of olefins comprising a solid catalyst component which comprises Mg, Ti, and chlorine atoms and an electron donor (ID) said prepolymerized catalyst component being characterized by the fact that: the electron donor (ID) is constituted by at least 80% mol of 1,3 diethers with respect to the total molar amount of electron donor compounds; the prepolymerized catalyst has a porosity due to pores with diameters up to 1 μm of less than 0.2 cm3/g; it contains an amount of ethylene prepolymer of less than 45% with respect to the total weight of prepolymerized catalyst.

The present technology relates to a pre-polymerized catalyst component for the polymerization of olefins, characterized by a non-stereospecific solid catalyst component comprising Ti, Mg and a halogen and an amount of a (co)polymer of an alpha-olefin CH2═CHR1, where R is a C1-C12 hydrocarbon group ranging from 0.1 to 500 g per g of said solid catalyst component. In some embodiments, the (co)polymer is characterized by an isotacticity, expressed in terms isotactic pentads, of higher than 60 molar % and an intrinsic viscosity, measured in tetraline at 135° C., of at least 1.0 dL/g.

A process for preparing a catalyst component made from or containing Mg, Ti, and at least an electron donor compound (ID), including the steps of: (a) reacting a Mg based compound with a Ti compound, having at least a Ti—Cl bond, in an amount such that the Ti/Mg molar ratio is greater than 3 and at a temperature ranging from 0 to 150° C., thereby yielding an intermediate solid catalyst component containing Mg and Ti; and (b) contacting the intermediate solid catalyst component with a gaseous stream containing the electron donor compound (ID) in a gaseous dispersing medium, thereby yielding a final solid catalyst component having an ID/Ti molar ratio ranging from 0.5:1 to 20:1.

A process for the preparation of a solid catalyst component for the polymerization of CH2═CHR olefins, wherein R is hydrogen or hydrocarbyl radical with 1-12 carbon atoms, made from or containing a Ti compound on a Mg chloride based support, including the steps of (a) reacting a Mg based compound with a liquid medium made from or containing a Ti compound, at a temperature ranging from 0 to 150° C., thereby yielding solid particles; and (b) suspending the solid particles coming from step (a) in a liquid medium made from or containing hydrocarbons at a temperature ranging from 10 to 100° C., wherein step (a) or (b) is carried out in the presence of 0.2 to 20.0% by weight, with respect to the amount of Mg compound, of particles of a solid compound containing more than 50% by weight of SiO2 units and having average particle size from 1 to 100 μm.
