    Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing a zeolitic material having a framework type FER and having a framework structure comprising silicon, aluminum, and oxygen, said process comprising (i) preparing an aqueous synthesis mixture comprising water; a zeolitic material having a framework type other than FER and having a framework structure comprising silicon, aluminum, and oxygen; a source of silicon other than the zeolitic material having a framework type other than FER; an organic structure directing agent comprising piperidine; a source of an alkali metal; and a source of a base; (ii) subjecting the aqueous synthesis mixture prepared according to (i) to hydrothermal synthesis conditions comprising heating the synthesis mixture to a temperature in the range of from 140 to 190° C. and keeping the synthesis mixture at a temperature in this range under autogenous pressure, obtaining a mother liquor comprising a solid material which comprises the zeolitic material having a framework type FER.

    Abstract: A process for preparing a zeolitic material having a zeolitic framework structure which exhibits a molar ratio (aAl2O3):SiO2 or a crystalline precursor thereof, comprising (i) preparing a mixture comprising H2O, one or more compounds comprising Si from which SiO2 in the zeolitic framework structure is formed, said one or more compounds comprising a silica gel exhibiting a molar ratio (c H2O):SiO2 and optionally one or more compounds comprising Al from which Al2O3 in the zeolitic framework structure is formed; (ii) subjecting the mixture obtained in (i) to crystallization at a crystallization temperature in the range of from 110 to 350° C., preferably in the range of from 190 to 350° C., and for a crystallization time in the range of from 0.1 to 48 h.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a process for the alkylation of an aliphatic organic compound comprising: (a) providing a catalyst comprising one or more zeolitic materials having a BEA framework structure, wherein the BEA framework structure comprises YO2 and optionally comprises X2O3, wherein Y is a tetravalent element, and X is a trivalent element, (b) contacting the catalyst with one or more aliphatic organic compounds in the presence of one or more alkylating agents in one or more reactors for obtaining one or more alkylated organic compounds, wherein the one or more zeolitic materials are obtainable from a synthetic process which does not employ an organotemplate as structure directing agent.
