    Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing a composition suitable as accelerator for the curing of cement, by contacting the components aa) at least one component selected from the series of hydraulic binders and/or latent hydraulic binders, and bb) at least one dispersant suitable for the dispersing of inorganic particles in water, and cc) water, the weight ratio of components aa) to cc) being between 1.5:1 and 1:70, wherein the rate ratio of components aa) to bb) is between 20:1 and 1:2. In addition, the use of the composition obtained as hardening acceleration for chemical mixtures in construction is disclosed.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing a pulverulent composition comprising at least one polymeric dispersant (PD) which comprises structural units having anionic and/or anionogenic groups and structural units having polyether side chains, and at least one polysaccharide (PS). The process here comprises the process steps: a) production of an aqueous dispersion having a viscosity of the dispersion of less than 10 000 mPa·s, comprising the at least one polymeric dispersant (PD) and the at least one polysaccharide (PS) and b) spray drying of the aqueous dispersion produced in process step a). Furthermore, the use of the pulverulent composition according to the invention in inorganic binder compositions, especially as a rheological additive, is disclosed.

    Abstract: Provided herein are dispersible copolymer powders and asphalt compositions comprising the same. The dispersible copolymer powders comprise a core polymer having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 40° C. or less and a shell comprising a water soluble protective colloid polymer having a Tg of 50° C. or greater. The core polymer can be derived from a vinyl aromatic monomer, a 1,3-diene monomer, and optionally one or more ethylenically-unsaturated monomers. The protective colloid polymer can be selected from a polyvinyl alcohol, a polyvinyl pyrrolidone, a polysaccharide, other water soluble polymers, or a combination thereof. Methods of preparing a styrene-butadiene modified asphalt without significantly increasing the viscosity, comprising adding the dispersible copolymer powder to an asphalt composition, wherein the addition of the copolymer polymer increases the viscosity of the asphalt by 100% or less at 135° C. within 2 hours of mixing are also described herein.
