    Abstract: An image forming device comprises a media container accommodating a sheet-type medium, an image forming engine, a media conveyor configured to convey the sheet-type medium along a conveyance path from the media container to the image forming engine. The media conveyor has a plurality of conveying rollers including a first conveying roller arranged on an upstream side of the image forming engine and a second conveying roller arranged on a downstream side of the image forming engine. The image forming device further comprises a cutter arranged on an upstream side along the conveyance path with respect to the second conveying roller, and a controller. The controller is configured to control the media conveyor in such a manner that the cut sheet-type medium is conveyed and discharged toward outside after a power is on and before first execution of the image forming process.

    Abstract: An inkjet recording device includes a tray receiving a recording medium. A tray guide is movable between first and second positions. A first sensor outputs a first signal indicative of the position of the tray guide. A cleaning mechanism cleans a recording portion. First and second conveyor portions convey the tray. The second conveyor portion has a first and a second roller. A first drive source rotates in a forward and a reverse direction of rotation. A second drive source moves the second roller between a contacting state and a separated state. A second sensor outputs a second signal indicative of a driving amount of the first drive source. A control section controls the second drive source to move the second roller from the contacting state to the separated state under certain conditions. The conditions are based on the sensed driving amount and the sensed position of the tray guide.

    Abstract: A controller of an inkjet printing apparatus is configured to receive first data, which an information processing apparatus transmits in response to receipt of a print instruction. The first data includes an instruction to move the cap from a covering position to a spaced position. Upon receipt of the first data, the controller determines a location of the cap. Then, upon determination that the cap is located at the spaced position, the controller determines the state of the driving force transmission assembly. The controller switches the state to the first state by moving the carriage to the non-recordation area in response to determination that the state is not the first state. Then, the controller receives second data, which includes image recordation condition, from the information processing apparatus, in response to determination that the state is the first state or after switching of the state to the first state is started.
