    Abstract: A container includes a receptacle (6) for holding a substance, drug or liquid, and having an opening (7) to the receptacle 6 through which the substance can be dispensed and having a circular and domed spreading surface (15) adjacent the opening for spreading and the accurate delivery of a thin layer of liquid over an area of skin. The container also includes a closure (3) including a cap (4) having a seal or plug (16) for sealing the receptacle (6), and a collar (5) with a cam follower surface (8) rotatable relative to the cap about an axis, whereby rotation of the collar (5) relative to the cap (4) moves the seal in an axial direction away from a seal position.
