    摘要: A table drive system for driving a support table is disclosed herein. The table drive system comprises at least one of a first drive assembly or a second drive assembly or a combination thereof. The first drive assembly is configured for moving the support table in a first direction for example, a longitudinal direction and the second drive assembly is configured for moving the support table in a second direction for example, a vertical direction. The table drive system further includes a safety block in combination with at least one of the first drive assembly or the second drive assembly, the safety block configured to arrest the motion of the first drive assembly or the second drive assembly upon experiencing a predetermined condition such as the failure of at least one of the first drive assembly or the second drive assembly.

    摘要: Articles made from poly(arylene ether) compositions wherein injection molded test specimens having a thickness of 2.5 mm of the compositions exhibit an energy to maximum load of at least 50 kg-cm under ISO 6603 after being subjected to autoclave sterilization with steam heat at 121° C. for 83.2 hours and exhibit an average percent change in energy to maximum load of less than or equal to an absolute value of 10% after 83.2 hours under the same autoclave sterilization conditions. The test specimens are independently prepared using one of injection molding, compression molding, blow molding, sheet extrusion, or thermoformed techniques. Articles include various trays, cages, housings, medical instruments, and other articles that are subjected to steam autoclave sterilization.

    摘要: A polymer blend may be prepared by melt kneading a composition that includes a poly(arylene ether), a polystyrene, and a carboxylic acid concentrate including a carboxylic acid compound and a polymer resin having a glass transition temperature or a melting temperature of about 30 to about 175° C. Using the carboxylic acid concentrate reduces the concentrations of styrene monomer and toluene in the polymer blend.

    摘要: A method of preparing a poly(arylene ether) includes oxidatively polymerizing a monohydric phenol in solution, concentrating the solution by removing a portion of the solvent to form a concentrated solution having a cloud point, Tcloud, and combining the concentrated solution with an anti-solvent to precipitate the poly (arylene ether), wherein the concentrated solution has a temperature of at least about (Tcloud−10° C.) immediately before it is combined with the anti-solvent. The method reduces the formation of undesirably fine particles in the product poly(arylene ether).
