摘要: The present invention provides an intravenous fluid flow regulator 10 for controlling the I.V. administration of medical fluid to a patient. The fluid flow regulator 10 provides a housing 12 having a top 18 and a bottom 20. A flexible diaphragm 14 is positioned within housing 12. A diaphragm holder 16 is provided inside housing 12 for holding a sealing edge 56 of flexible diaphragm 14 in fluid sealing engagement with diaphragm holder 16. The housing 12 and flexible diaphragm 14 define an inlet fluid reservoir 62 and an outlet fluid reservoir 64. The diaphragm holder 16 defines a by-pass fluid channel 54 from inlet fluid reservoir 62, around diaphragm 14, to outlet fluid reservoir 64. The flexible diaphragm 14 being flexible to alternatively move into inlet fluid reservoir 62 and outlet fluid reservoir 64 depending on a fluid pressure differential between inlet fluid reservoir 62 and outlet fluid reservoir 64. A fluid inlet 24 is connected to housing top 18 to provide an inlet fluid passage 27 from an I.V. bag containing medical fluid to inlet fluid reservoir 62. A fluid outlet 34 is connected to housing bottom 20 to provide an outlet fluid passage 44 from outlet fluid reservoir 64 to the patient. At least one rib 48 connected to bottom 20 is provided to prevent movement of flexible diaphragm 14 into outlet fluid reservoir 64 when flexible diaphragm 14 moves into outlet fluid reservoir 64 a predetermined distance.

摘要: A container for housing a beneficial agent that can be removably coupled to a structure defining a fluid flow path. The container comprises a body defining a first and second interior area separated by a wall that terminates at an opening providing fluid communication between the first and second interior area. A cannula is provided that extends from the body for being removably received by the structure defining the fluid path. The cannula includes an inlet opening and inlet fluid flow path and an outlet opening and outlet fluid flow path. The inlet fluid flow path being in fluid communication with the first interior area, and the outlet fluid flow path being in fluid communication with the second interior area. The second interior area houses the solid beneficial agent and allows fluid that flows through the inlet fluid flow path to pass by at least a portion of the beneficial agent.

摘要: An LED light system has an LED light module for inserting into a standard fixture. The fixture has a housing and cover for sealing the enclosure. The LED module contains a shell or outer surface having a matching form factor as the housing for making physical contact with the housing over a sufficient surface area to provide good thermal contact. A substrate is mounted on a support structure. A plurality of LEDs is disposed on the substrate. A heat transfer agent or medium transfers heat from the LEDs to the housing. The outer surface of the LED module spreads the heat over its surface area and firmly contacts the surface of the housing for good thermal transfer. The heat transfer medium is made of a thermally conductive material such as aluminum or copper and formed to contact a surface area of the LED module.

The main shunt arranged relative to the core to define a primary side and a secondary side of the ferroresonant transformer. The first windings are arranged on the primary side of the ferroresonant transformer and are operatively connected to the primary power source. The second windings are arranged on the secondary side of the ferroresonant transformer and are operatively connected to the secondary power source. The third windings are arranged on the secondary side of the ferroresonant transformer and are operatively connected to the resonant capacitor. When a primary signal is present on the first windings, a first output signal is present on at least a portion of the third windings. When a secondary power is present on the second windings, a second output signal is present on at least a portion of the third windings.

摘要: A method from controlling a computer is disclosed. The method includes receiving position data defining an actual position of a sensed object, applying a first scaling profile to the position data. The first scaling profile includes at least one scaling curve defining a relationship between the actual position relative to a virtual position in a rendered scene within an application program executed on the computer. The scaling curve defines a range of actual positions of the sensed object relative to a range of changes in virtual position. The method further includes controlling display of the rendered scene according to the first scaling profile, where changes in actual movement of the sensed object generate corresponding scaled movement of the virtual position in the rendered scene.

摘要: Processing artist artwork authentication and published artwork information at a user computing device comprises an artist artwork authentication and artist information system employing a client device configured to use imaged date converted to text to identify an artist central authority server for authenticating published artworks as well as an artwork unique identifier. The artist artwork authentication and artist information system communicates with the central authority server using the identity of the artist central authority server and requests a public key for the central authority server. The client device, upon receiving the public key, then communicates another message to the central authoritative server that includes an encrypted version of the unique identifier that can be used to identify a piece of artwork and an artist associated with the artwork. The client device receives in response receives information regarding the artwork, information relating to the artist, and other information relevant to the artwork.

摘要: A hydrogen augmented diesel crankcase ventilation system uses hydrogen to allow crankcase fumes, for example blow-by, to be burned by the engine. The system preferably includes a hydrogen generation system as a hydrogen source connected to an engine air intake by a hydrogen hose, a fumes hose connecting the crankcase to the air intake, and a clean air hose connecting a clean air source to the crankcase. An orifice or a vacuum regulator in cooperation with the fumes hose may be included to regulate crankcase vacuum. A filter resides inline with the fumes hose to capture solids or liquids which enter the fumes hose from the crankcase, and a drain hose drains captured liquid back into the engine. A back flow preventor may be included in cooperation with the clean air hose to prevent a back flow of crankcase fumes through the clean air hose.

摘要: A photovoltaically powered cathodic protection system for an automotive vehicle uses electrical energy arising from a photovoltaic array positioned upon an exterior surface of the vehicle, with the cathodic protection current being controlled by a controller which is also connected with an electrical storage device and with at least one electrogalvanic cell sensor. The controller and associated sensors function to assure that sufficient charge passes through conductors applied to the body of the vehicle to maintain cathodic protection on a consistent basis.
