    Abstract: An apparatus includes a first part, a second part that is rotatably mounted with respect to the first part, a flat spring, and one or more engaging members. The flat spring extends from a first end to a second end and is able to bend in a first direction and a second direction. The one or more engaging members are connected to the second part and engage the flat spring at a location between the first end of the flat spring and the second end of the flat spring to restrict bending of the flat spring in at least one of the first direction or the second direction.

    Abstract: A clutch and gear synchronizer module includes an actuator disposed radially with respect to the transmission shaft and carried by an actuator carrier connected to the transmission shaft for rotation with the transmission shaft. The actuator includes an offset pin coupled to a shift sleeve that is able to move axially with respect to the transmission shaft thereby causing axial and rotational movement of the offset pin and rotation of the actuator about an actuator axis. The actuator includes a lobe and a pawl. Sequentially, the lobe engages a friction ring thereby causing the friction ring to engage the gear and causing the gear to rotate in synchronization with the transmission shaft. As the shift sleeve moves further towards the gear, the pawl then engages clutch teeth disposed on an annular surface of the gear.

    Abstract: A drive module assembly includes a housing defining a housing interior for containing a lubricant. The housing interior has a first interior side adjacent a first housing wall of the housing and a second interior side spaced from the first interior side and adjacent a second housing wall of the housing. The drive module assembly also includes an input shaft extending along an input axis and coupled to the housing and configured to receive rotational torque from a power source, a gear train rotatably coupled to the input shaft, and an output shaft rotatably coupled to the gear train. The drive module assembly further includes an oil housing disposed in the housing interior between the first housing wall and the second housing wall. The oil housing defines an oil housing interior that is configured to retain a portion of the lubricant.

The electric motor (110, 310, 510, 610) can also be driven by the second flywheel part (114, 314, 514, 614) to store electrical energy for use in a vehicle.

    Abstract: A dual mass flywheel includes a first flywheel part arranged for rotation on an axis, a second flywheel part arranged for rotation on the axis, and a torsional damper that is connected to the first flywheel part and the second flywheel part. A linkage is connected to the first flywheel part and includes a first joint that is movable from a first position, in which a first joint of the linkage is in an over-center condition, to a second position. An engaging member is connected to the linkage such that the engaging member engages the second flywheel part when the linkage is in the first position and disengages from the second flywheel part when the linkage is in the second position.
